Spring (March to May) — The Sweet Spot
Spring is arguably the best time to visit Ascoli Piceno. March is still cool and quiet, with daytime highs around 14-16°C (57-61°F). April brings milder weather and the first real flush of green in the Tronto Valley. By May, temperatures reach a comfortable 20-24°C (68-75°F), making it perfect for walking the historic centre without breaking a sweat.

Despite the heat, summer evenings in Ascoli are magical. The piazzas fill with people enjoying gelato and chilled Rosso Piceno.
