Alcazaba of Badajoz
One of the largest Moorish fortresses in Europe, built in the 9th century by Ibn Marwan. The walls stretch for over 1,300 metres and enclose the Torre de Espantaperros (a 14th-century Almohad tower), the Palacio de los Condes de la Roca, and the Museo Arqueológico Provincial.
Puerta de Palmas
