"Considering the price paid, this was a terrible experience. Dirty rooms with hair in the bedsheets, doors smashing waking you up at 7 am, no TV remote, uncooperative staff. The rooms were pretty, but the experience around them was a continuous discomfort, making it a really frustrating and underwhelming stay.\n\n- The cleaning was UNACCEPTABLE. When first arrived in the room, we found several hair in the bedsheets, even pretty long ones, and large spots of dirt. We had friends in 4 other rooms, all had the same issue, and the problem couldn’t be solved cause “the cleaning ladies already left”. Translated: “too bad, you’ll just sleep in dirty bedsheets and in someone else’s hair”. We requested our rooms to be cleaned on the second day, and when we came back, we still found hair even in the bathroom floor and the bedsheets were unchanged (had the same dirt spots), so the cleaning ladies did literally nothing. Only upon a third (angry) request, we managed to obtain clean bedsheets. CHANGE YOUR CLEANING SERVICES.\n- If you plan on sleeping past 7am, make sure you can get a room above the ground floor, otherwise you’ll be forcibly woken up around that time by loud doors smashing continuously. Together with people walking heavily, it made our whole room shake. It was impossible to fall back asleep, and it happened 2/2 mornings. Not great to be forced to wake up at 7 when on holiday.\n- Our TV had no remote. We informed the reception right away, and were told we would be given the remote “if found”. Never received it, so our room TV was unusable.\n\nAll of this would maybe be acceptable if we paid 20€ per night in some hostel. Completely unacceptable for a hotel with these prices."

"Like many other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel does not prioritize client satisfaction and is not reasonable when handling requests.\n\nIn my case, I made an honest mistake when selecting the dates for my stay. As soon as I realized the error (a second after hitting the submit button), I immediately reached out to Hotels.com to correct it. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get in touch with the hotel to request the change.\n\nLeft with no other option, I called the hotel directly. After explaining the situation, I was told to send an email so the manager could review my request. Despite my reasonable explanation, the manager refused to make any adjustments, simply citing the hotel’s no change/no cancellation policy. While I understand that such policies exist to prevent last-minute cancellations and empty rooms, my request was different—I wasn’t canceling. I simply needed to shift my reservation to different dates within the same week, three months in advance, with no impact on the hotel’s occupancy. In fact, I even needed to book an extra night.\n\nYet, they refused to accommodate my request, showing zero flexibility or concern for customer service.\n\nI strongly do not recommend this hotel. This was the first time I’ve encountered such rigid and dismissive behavior from a hotel manager. If you check other reviews, you’ll see that this level of service is, unfortunately, a pattern here."

"Nice little hotel in a great location just outside the museum district. Perfectly located to get into town via tram and back to the airport.\n\nOur room was behind reception and at the front of the hotel so it was a little noisy with people coming and going and smoking outside at night but this was to be expected.\n\nBreakfast was okay and there are vending machines and luggage storage. Perfect base for staying in Amsterdam and exploring!"
