"I am expressing my profound disappointment with the service I encountered during my recent stay, particularly at check-in/out, which fell far short of the professional standards I had anticipated.\n\nUpon arriving at the reception desk around 7:00 PM, I was met with an underwhelming response from the staff. (possibly a teacher or head of housekeeping, failed to acknowledge my presence, offer even the slightest smile, or provide any meaningful assistance). This lack of engagement was particularly evident when I sought support, leaving me, and presumably other guests, feeling unsupported and disregarded. Compounding this, I was told that I was unable to have breakfast, as it is not served until 7:30 AM, which was not conducive to my early departure.\n\nThe check-out process itself was nothing short of chaotic. At the desk, I encountered three gentlemen engrossed in a video on a laptop, completely oblivious to my arrival despite my polite greeting of "good morning." It took several minutes (!) before they even noticed me, after which they abruptly dispersed in different directions. When I finally received attention, I was casually informed that I could simply exit the garage with my rental car. However, this proved problematic, as my parking ticket—taken from me upon check-in and never returned, nor explained—contained my license plate number, which was evidently required to operate the garage door. No clear instructions were provided, and the door did not open as expected.\n\nAfter further delays, one of the staff members appeared in the garage following a discussion over his radio. Rather than offering a solution, he vaguely suggested I drive forward and back to test the system. When I expressed my frustration at being treated like an experiment, his response was curt and unprofessional, further souring the experience. In total, it took nearly 30 minutes from my arrival at reception to my final departure from the hotel—without breakfast or any semblance of the courteous service one would expect.\n\nThis series of events reflects a significant lapse in professionalism and coordination, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of care and competence displayed. I hope this feedback can be addressed to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Thank you but no thank you."

"This was a great pick for our stay in Amsterdam for The Eras Tour. There’s a tram station right in front that takes you straight to the centre. Regarding the service, the students are all lovely and hard-working. They strive to ensure you have the best experience in the hotel. I’m glad they can master their skills this way. Give them a chance!"

"Stayed 6/13-6/16, staff was extremely courteous, helpful and kind. They were able to accommodate our early arrival. Room was probably one of the most spacious, I’ve had in Europe and bed was set up as twins as I requested. Very clean, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion provided. Full size hair dryer, small fridge and digital safe. Hotel is a lil ways out from city center about 2 1/2+ miles, but a safe walk, walking through Rembrandt park. Conveniently, Central Station Tram 13 is outside front steps of Skotel. ————>Get GVB app"
