Quentin Museum Square Hotel

"It is close to the city center; our room was clean, modern and located on the first floor which was a standard with private bathroom. They have a storage for luggage which is in the basement. There is no lift and you can hear doors banging through the night so better to pack earplugs but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was not included. The staff is ok."

"I wish I had read the reviews before booking as I had a very similar experience as someone else.\nThe staff were very abrupt, verging on rude. We had 2 large suitcases and was given a room on the top floor. The last flight of stairs to the 3rd floor was so narrow it was difficult to take our bags up. The deposit thing was not an issue, however the cleanliness of the room was a joke. There were stains and marks on the walls, the bathroom didn’t feel clean, despite being the most modern part the room. When I used the shower I stepped on broken glass which was a shock. I then found more broken glass that I cleared up, which also made me discover pubes as well! After notifying reception of the glass issue there was little remorse or offer of anything as compensation. They suggested they would make sure to clean the rooms better but surely this should be a given in the first place. When we returned to the room later, the bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned. The staff on reception in two separate instances were very unhelpful, not even offering a solution to questions. We had also asked for either to swap pillows or an extra one and they only said ‘no. They are all in use’. Clearly if they are all in use there is an issue with their pillows being uncomfortable/lumpy/unusable. Buy some more!! After reading reviews I have not been the only guest to have found broken glass in the bathroom, in my case it was actually in the shower. The photos are very misleading versus actual amenities and overall experience.\nHorrible experience. Don’t put yourself through it."

"NO AIR CON - in the middle of summer?!\nDust all over the room and behind the radiators. Dirty marks all over the walls.\n\nShower screen not attached , rooms need painting just a bit of TLC is needed.\n\nHotel is accessible via public transport but is quite a way from the city centre , would rather pay the extra and stay closer in a cleaner establishment"
