"I don't recommend this hotel; the cons outweigh the pros. We chose this hotel for the location within the city. However, the hotel was next to a theater and there was a lot of noise as crew moved equipment late at night. The price wasn't awful, but it wasn't super great either. The building was older but we liked that and were happy for the charming quirks. However, there were many problems. The canal view isn't worth it. The window didn't close all the way, so we had to plug it with a towel because it was cold. The shower also leaked from the ceiling and sprayed all over the bathroom. It took two days to fix (we stayed a total of 3 nights). I emailed requesting some kind of refund and was ghosted. One of the staff was friendly but the others couldn't care less. Definitely don't get breakfast; it's not worth 17€."

"Good location and polite staff, unfortunately that's about it. The room was clean and everything worked, which is the minimum anyone should expect, but the bed was really awful and the room was extremely basic. There was a lot of noise in the night too, which seemed to be from within the building itself. It's very much low end, so don't have high expectations."

"It's a NOPE. As so many here states already, all the bad outweighs the little good. In short, the location is really the only good thing here.\n\nLet's start with the bad\n- Room looks like it haven't been properly cleaned in 20 years. It's thick dirt everywhere, especially around the radiators.\n- The black hotelguy personell at the counter/entrance was hitting on my gf while being rude and reluctant/lazy to help to me.\n- Room service made the bed only one day out of several days, but didn't change the bed fabrics. Really lazy.\n- Furniture is old and broken here and there. Bed is old and full with big dirty yellow stains etc. They should have changed it to a newer looong ago. Or at least wash it properly.\n- The tiny old bathroom has no hooks for towels, almost no room to put anything and water runs slow in shower, and hard to get right temperature.\n- If it rains outside you gonna have a loud dripping sound going on for HOURS outside the window and you have to have the window open for air. This gonna make you not be able to get any sleep. Happened to us.\n- We paid almost 200 euro per night for That room, one of the worst hotel rooms I've experienced in 20 years of travelling. So waay too expensive for what you get. The pictures they show doesn't represent the bad reality of this place.\n\nThe good?\n+ Close to the park and streets of interest and restaurants (but not super close to the central part, ca 10-15 min easy walk though).\n\nThat's about it. Can't recommend this dirty place with its lazy personnel that clearly have no feeling for either service or cleanliness. There are other old much more cozier hotels in the area. Go for them."
