"Where to start with this\nThe electronic blinds didn’t work, and there were no fans or air conditioning to cool the room at night. Many things seemed broken or unsafe, such as electrical power points that were falling off the walls, leaving exposed 240V wires, and also a single 240v wire had been poorly taped over in the bathroom. The walls were paper-thin, so we could hear loud neighbors, and the door alarms in the room next door kept going off throughout the day .The beds were springy and worn.\n\nWe were also placed in the wrong room upon checkin, with the wrong bed setup on the top floor instead of the basement room we had booked. We were told politely it’s the same price either way and they did offer to relocate us after the first night. The narrow, steep steps made it hard to carry luggage but a staff member did help us. The fridge had a strong weed smell that was unpleasant.\nThe shower wasn’t separated from the bathroom, so the entire floor got wet, and there was no mop to clean the inevitable splashed water forcing us to use our towels instead. There were no top sheets, and the bed linens had hair on them. Of the rooms basic amnesties the TV antenna connection was vandalised.\n\nOn a positive note, the staff were helpful and pleasant during our stay. I’m going to leave this one to you dear reader, perhaps for a single night in Amsterdam it could suit you, but for the three we spent here I’d pay a-little more and get something comfortable, practical and safe."

"checked into our hotel was told our room was in the basement. arrived to the room that smelt so badly of cigarette smoke we could hardly breathe. once entering the room the it smelt even worse of smoke. the bathroom door was broken, inside the shower had mould, under the bed had mould, rubbish and left over food. we informed the hotel and they did not care at all. they called there boss and she refused to talk to us or give us a refund. went through booking.com and refund was provided back. do not recommend"

"Myself and a group of 6 girls have just left this hotel after 3 nights here. I’m giving the 5 stars in reflection to the price you pay. The location is great just 25 mins from the main square. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable it has everything you need. It is a bit noisy so if you are looking for a quiet getaway then I wouldn’t recommend but if you are wanting the night life it’s perfect. The guys on reception were lovely too. Overall a great stay for a budget price, bear that in mind with your expectations!"
