"## SCAM ALERT! AVOID THIS "HOTEL" IN AMSTERDAM AT ALL COSTS!\n\nLet me preface this by saying our experience at this establishment in Amsterdam was nothing short of a daylight robbery. We were charged an exorbitant **500 DOLLARS PER NIGHT** for what turned out to be a glorified hostel room that I could have booked elsewhere for a mere fraction of the price – think closer to $20. The location was admittedly decent, the only sliver of positivity I can muster for this disastrous stay. This is 100% a money laundering scheme because there is no way this company is putting their client's money into the well-being of their establishment.\n\nHowever, the "decent location" was quickly overshadowed by the utterly unacceptable conditions of the room itself. I would've rather been a taxi drive away from the city center in a way better hotel than stay here. Firstly, the lobby, (which I don't even think it could even qualify as a lobby) is creepy, dirty, uninviting, smelled weird and simply uncomfortable. There were BAGS AND BAGS of dirty towels (?) piled up in the lobby (Pictured) as well as trash bags thrown everywhere throughout the building. Most disturbingly, during our stay, there was a mouse IN OUR ROOM. If that wasn't enough to send shivers down your spine, the **BLARRING MOUSE ALARMS** that periodically erupted every 3 seconds, (WHICH IS NOT A JOKE, honestly having a mouse in the room would've been better than that awful noise) it was truly **piercing, ear-splitting screech** that made any attempt at relaxation or sleep utterly impossible.\n\nNavigating this property was an ordeal in itself. The **stairs were incredibly narrow and dangerously steep**. Simply walking up or down them was a precarious task, let alone attempting to maneuver with luggage. Forget about carrying suitcases – it felt like an accident waiting to happen. We were shoved in the basement, and next to our room had a pile of 7 garbage bags all thrown on top of each other, with god knows what inside of it.\n\nThe state of the bathroom was the final nail in the coffin. Our shower sliding door was completely off its hinges and haphazardly resting inside the shower. To add insult to injury, it was covered in mold, a clear indication of neglect and unsanitary conditions. Unsurprisingly, with the door not functioning, water went everywhere in the tiny bathroom every time we tried to shower.\n\nPaying 500 dollars a night for these conditions is an absolute disgrace and feels like a blatant scam. This is not a hotel; it's an overpriced, poorly maintained-hostel with serious health and safety issues. Save your money and sanity—**DO NOT BOOK A STAY AT THIS PROPERTY.** You will be severely disappointed and feel completely ripped off. I strongly advise others to steer clear and find alternative accommodation that offers even basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. I could've stayed at the Raddison for $300$ cheaper."

"Considering we booked the cheapest hotel I am insanely satisfied. Yes the rooms are small but the the hotel is clean, comfortable and the location is perfect. Staff are friendly and our room was already cleaned after the first night. Our room was on the basement floor so we didn‘t have a view but that‘s really not a problem as the goal is to go out and explore innit. Thank you for letting us stay 😗"
