"The receptionists were lovely, and didn’t mind when my family, while waiting for our room to be ready, sat in the lobby and made lots of calls (we left a phone in a taxi, and were desperately trying to get it back). Beyond that, the room was tight, which we expected. Our main issue with the hotel is the disconnect between the marketing of the hotel as a boutique, and the room itself. To turn the lights on in the room, you needed to put the room key (of which the hotel initially gave my family of three 1) into a slot, which would have been fine if not for the fact that when you left the room, the air conditioner and fridge shut off as well. Even when the air conditioner was on its highest fan setting, we didn’t feel air coming out, and it didn’t cool the room. The fridge also didn’t work. In the bathroom, there was nowhere to hang the towels and there was no shelf in the shower to place toiletries. When you took too long to open the door to leave the room, an alarm would sound, which was bizarre. The location was great though! Very convenient to the museums."

"My daughter and i enjoyed our stay. Hotel was very clean. It is in a grest location to literally everything. Staff was super friendly and nice. Great view from window.\nTo the bad reviews....just in general...if you want to book any hotel anywhere. You have to do it through the hotel itself.. not 3rd party booking."

"TERRIBLY INFLEXIBLE & POOR SERVICE.\nAs soon as our red eye Miami to Heathrow/London flight was canceled due to Heathrow’s electrical outage and complete closure on March 20, 2025 (we had already boarded the outbound plane and were sitting on the tarmac for hours before cancellation), we immediately reached out to the hotel at 2AM to let them know we could not fly into Heathrow and make our 3:35PM Amsterdam KLM connection. Heathrow was completely closed and not allowing any inbound flights at this time.\n\nThe man who answered the hotel phone told us we had to “contact the manager.”\nSo despite sending an online message through their website, and making another phone call hours later, we were told that the room was nonrefundable, and there was nothing they could do.\n\nWe asked for a credit so that we could return instead the following weekend. We were told no. So no refund, no credit, and not even the permission to simply move the reservation to the following weekend.\n\nWhen we asked to speak to the manager, the same man we spoke to at 2AM said “I am the manager.“ He was adamant that “there is nothing that can be done” despite the fact that he could certainly choose to move the reservation, but chose not to.\n\nSo beware! Even when there are circumstances completely beyond your control, like a fire that completely shuts down Heathrow Airport, they are unwilling to even move your reservation."
