"A Disappointing Stay from Start to Finish\n\nUnfortunately, our stay at this hotel was far from acceptable. The most alarming issue was discovering a mouse in the room - yes, an actual mouse scurrying across the floor, although our room was on the second floor. To make matters worse, we found mouse droppings inside the electric cupboard, which raises serious health and safety concerns. It was clear that cleanliness and pest control were not priorities here. We can only guess what could possibly be going on in the kitchen….\n\nA lot of reviews praise this hotel for its cleanliness, however in our experience the reality is far from the truth. The bathroom was visibly dirty. The shower head was crusted with old limescale, the sink and bath tub were blocked and the carpet in the room was dirty and stained. It’s the kind of neglect that suggests the facilities haven’t been properly cleaned or maintained in quite some time.\n\nTo top it all off, the receptionist’s attitude was incredibly patronizing. Rather than addressing our concerns with empathy or urgency, we were met with dismissive responses and a tone that made it seem like we were overreacting. We were offered drink vouchers by him from their bar to keep us happy, which was laughable. It was an unpleasant end to an already disappointing experience.\n\nOverall, we would strongly advise avoiding this hotel until serious improvements are made in cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service."

"We stayed here for three nights in a family room while exploring Amsterdam. An easy few minutes walk from the train station and easy walking distance to downtown and all the tours. Room was basic but well maintained, with comfortable beds. There was a bit of noise from the bar outside however on the 3rd floor it wasnt enough to be disturbing. The staff were great at helping arrange tours and the attached bar was great for drinks and simple food. We would go back again, though perhaps in cooler weather as tbere was no climate control in our room, which is to be expected with the age of the building."

"Easy to find, great quirky rooms, 24 hour reception , great for a late check in for Eurostar,fabulous choice of breakfast buffet , clean comfortable room, lovely staff speaking many languages,right in the hub of canal boat tours, trams, trains and metro.\nSpacious bathroom, free toiletries, crisp clean bedding, comfy beds,on site bar and restaurant ,outside seating terrace, tour discounts, safe lock box on request.\n\nCould do with tea/coffee making in facilities in the room for us Brits ,and maybe a bath mat?\nIf you forget a European adaptor there's a USB in the TV.\nStairs a bit steep as is the way of these hotels, but a lift is available.\n\nMinutes from all the good tourist places/photo ops.\n\nWill be staying again.\n\nDon't forget to budget for the 12.5 % city tax on arrival."
