"I have loved my stay at Hotel Old Nickel. The staff have been great. Yes, my room was small, but it was comfortable and cosy. It's an old building, so the stairs are steep. The staff helped carry my bag upstairs, and down again. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. The noise that people have mentioned was actually quite minimal. I brought earplugs, just in case, and they were unnecessary.\n\nIf you are wanting a chilled out place that is within reasonable ages to all tourist amenities, you would do well here. Thank you to the staff."

"The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the central station and main attractions. However, the rooms are extremely small, with barely enough space to move around. There is a window, but it doesn’t add much to the sense of space. The bathroom is also tiny but functional. On the plus side, despite being so close to the center, it was surprisingly quiet during our stay in February. If you just need a place to sleep and want to be in the heart of the city, it’s an okay option, but don’t expect much comfort."
