Hotel Di Ann Amsterdam City Centre

"The only good thing about this hotel is the convenient location to many attractions in Amsterdam. The hotel is not clean and kept up with as it should be. The staff were mediocre and not very helpful.\n\nThe bathroom lacked proper ventilation, smelled of mold and mildew, and resembled a jail cell. There was even black mold on the bathroom wall tiles that didn’t even look like anyone had attempted to clean it. The ceiling above the shower needed serious repair with evidence of water damage. The floor was not swept or vacuumed with crumbs, dirt, and other debris on the floor.\n\nThe room I was staying in was not equipped with a fan like other rooms were. I asked the front desk if they could provide one to which the front desk agent responded “it’s not hot out today”. Regardless of what your personal belief of the temperature is, a simple request to make my stay slightly more enjoyable was met with an attitude. I was then told to ask the next front desk agent coming in several hours later around midnight to see if they could fulfill my request. I didn’t even bother. Leaving the balcony door and window opened overnight was useless unless you like being attacked by mosquitos flying in all night in a hot, stuffy, moldy hotel room. I would not recommend staying here.\n\nMany of the photos posted by the hotel owner do not accurately reflect the hotels current condition."

"It wasn't a horror story with dirt and bugs, and the stairs aren't terrible—what do you expect for a heritage building? But i did not enjoy the unfriendly services or inconvenient conditions. I only stayed for a night because I had to, and it's good to visit all the nearby attractions, but i was glad to be out first thing in the morning."

"I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The rooms were clean and cozy with a good view. A little out of date but exactly what I was expecting from the online description. The hotel is within a few blocks of countless sights, cuisine, transit and experiences. A great bang for buck hotel. I would recommend"
