"We were extremely satisfied with the hotel. However, I can only rate our room, 116, next to the reception. The room was clean and fragrant (verified even with a UV lamp). No carpet, but laminate flooring or tiles, which is much better. The staff was truly kind and helpful, especially the young lady at the reception. We were worried about noise, but thanks to the hotel’s location in a quiet neighborhood, there was no issue. The hotel’s location is ideal for a peaceful vacation. The city center and museums are easily accessible on foot without needing public transport. Vondelpark is right behind the hotel. Access to the room, or to the hotel in the evening, is managed with a chip card. The only thing one could fault the hotel for is that it doesn’t offer breakfast, but this can be easily resolved at nearby cafés. If we ever return to Amsterdam, we will choose this hotel again."

"I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Hotel Atlas Vondelpark, not because of the stay but because of the way my situation was handled.\n\nI made a non-refundable booking through Booking.com after checking the hotel’s FAQ section and guest reviews, which clearly suggested that pets were allowed. As a returning guest who had previously stayed at this hotel, I trusted that information. Only after completing the reservation did I learn that pets were not allowed.\nWhile I understand that policies exist, I also believe that hospitality is about people, about flexibility and care in exceptional cases. Instead, I was left with no room to adjust, no empathy, and no support from a hotel I had previously enjoyed.\n\nIf you're traveling with pets or rely on Booking.com’s listings, be extremely cautious."
