G Experience Hotel

"Do not stay here. I only stayed one night and honestly, it’s one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The room wasn’t clean. No clue when it was actually deep cleaned. Peeling paint, broken fixtures, mysterious splatters all over the walls, cobwebs all over the walls. It got even worse during nighttime and you can see new spots on the walls from the lighting. Honestly, disgusting. The shower had left overs from guests before. The toilet wasn’t clean- the bowl and the seat. Floor was covered in crumbs and hair. besides the bed. Because it was only one night, I tried to looked past it. The fire alarm went off two separate times before midnight. Then at 1am someone used a key card to open and enter my room - even though I had it deadbolted. So now my safety is a concern. This has never happened to me in all my years and locations of travel. They don’t seem to care about their hotel or customers’ comfort or safety. I emailed them with my concerns and no response. Conveniently there was no phone in the room. There are much better places to stay in the area"

"Do not visit this establishment. While the entrance and the pictures might look great and the low price seems like a good deal, you will encounter the exact opposite upon entering your room. The floor was dirty, the towels had brown marks on them and the walls had endured significant damage. After seeing this, we were not pleased but since we had many hours of travel behind us and were very exhausted, we took to bed and slept for a few hours.\n\nThe really disgusting part only became appearant to us after waking up in the evening. As we turned the lights on, we noticed two bedbugs on the wall. We instantly got up and started packing our luggage. It was clear for us both that we could not sleep in this hotel for a single night.\n\nWe then went down to the reception, where we talked to the receptionist about the issues. We told her that we do not want to sleep another night there and that we would like to get our money that we spent for the other nights back as compensation. They told us that they cannot approve of refunds without their manager, and that we would get a phone call. That phone call has still not happened after our trip to Amsterdam was finished. I doubt we will ever get that call.\n\nPlease, do yourself a favour and do not visit. Its also pretty far out and not that well connected to the inner city. It is not worth your money, or any ones money to be precise."

"The staff were friendly, and the location was excellent. We were checked in very quickly at night. The rooms are a bit old but clean, and the price is low — so I confidently give it 5 stars, especially compared to other hotels in the Netherlands at this price range in Amsterdam."
