Floris Hotel

"Had a great experience at the hotel. One of the best hotels in Amsterdam if you want a good bang for the buck. Everything was clear an flawfless from the check in to the check out. If people are disappointed about the check in being in an another hotell or the rooms being small they should read and do actual research before blindly booking.\nHighly underrated hotel in my opinion. Had an amazing experience at Amsterdam and will recommend this place to friends and colleagues!"

"I can't understand how there are comments complementing the location. It's not good at all!\nAs for the hotel itself. Well as a seasoned traveller I struggle to find anything positive to say about this place except for the pillows were good. Service is non existent, you have to traipse back and forth between this "hotel" and another for the check in process which was a nightmare. The building is an old Dutch House being used now as a hotel. Your room is just a box room with makeshift shower room. The stairs are crazy. The room we had was 2nd floor but had 4 flights of steep stairs. The room was number 11, however the layout means you go past numbers 20, 13, etc etc on the way to this room. Some rooms are owned by hotel Floris some aren't, you will see stickers on the doors with other hotel names. There is no reception at this place and therefore no one to help or advise. We emailed the reception in the other hotel (a fair walk away) to ask if they would print out boarding passes and they never even replied!!!\nI wouldn't recommend this hotel or anything to do with the company to anyone. Find somewhere better and in a better location as this is a joke!!!"

"Hotel Floris in Amsterdam is a very nice place. I read reviews before I booked it and was astonished when came to Amsterdam. The location is super, very close to the center. We walked 5 minutes to Albert Knap market, 15 min to Van Gogh museum, Stedelijk museum, 20 minutes to Red Lights Districts etc. 40 metres from the hotel is situated Lidl supermarket and a cafe for breakfast (opposite the hotel to the left) What about reception, yes you should go to Iris hotel near 3-5 minutes, it's very close. But it's not a big deal!!!\nThe room was nice, clear, with safe, heating was good , you can regulate it. Bathroom is new, also there is a hairdryer. The staff is very pleasant and ready to help you, in the room was a telephone to call them.\nI will recommend this hotel as it's really worse to stay in a lovely Amsterdam!"
