Facade Hotel Amsterdam

"The Facade hotel was perfect. The location was so close to restaurants, train station, boat cruise stations and central to a lot of things. The room was spacious and very clean.\nFront desk clerk was very nice when we came and allowed us to drop our bags before check-in (forgot to get her name, she worked the morning shift June 3rd). Then when we came back in the afternoon to check in, Tom was verry helpful and even helped my friend take her bag upstairs because it was very heavy. Nicest person, and top tier customer service! Check out was also easy and quick this morning, Thank you all for your help especially Tom!"

"Worst hotel I've stayed in, for several reasons:\n- the rooms were insanely small. 8m² isn't enough for two adults. We knew it was small, but the pictures on the booking website were misleading, making us think the rooms were bigger than they actually were. That by itself isn't that big of a deal, but\n- the bathroom ceiling started leaking brown wastewater from the light fixtures. It literally fell on top of my head while I was using the toilet. Not only is this disgusting, but also extremely dangerous. We did get another room, but it was just as small. No other compensation.\n- it's not very clean. the beds were fine, but they don't clean behind them. There is a lot of dust on the heater. The shower curtain is a bit moldy and broken. There also was something that looked to be blood on the shower curtain. The towels were clean.\n- the AC did not turn on. The booking website listed they had an AC, they did, but you could not turn it on. It was very hot at night. Some windows don't open. If you do open the window, you'll be bothered by loud partying people right outside until late at night.\n- the price was way too much for everything we had to go through. We paid 450€ for two nights.\nThe only good thing about this place is the proximity to Centraal. The staff were friendly but not hospitable.\nI don't recommend this place if you want to enjoy your stay in Amsterdam."

"Rooms were very small, but we were always on the go, so it didn’t matter that much. Bathrooms were way smaller, my partner had to sit sideways on the toilet facing the bath door, because there wasn’t enough space. The service personnel answered questions when asked and said their greetings and goodbyes when we entered and left the building. Room service came everyday to fold our bed sheets and bring new towels. The location was what made the hotel attractive. I suggest younger people to book the hotel, since it could be very loud. The hotel is more of an older building and the isolation is not the best. It’s a mediocre hotel with a mediocre price."
