"After reading the reviews, we were ready for the small rooms and no lift. Despite that and with the price, the hotel is actually quite nice!\n\nAt the heart of the city, the desk persons were very nice and helpful. The let us store our luggage and everything is easy to do since near to train central. We had a great time at Amsterdam :)"

"Have realistic expectations and you won't be disappointed. Firstly it's one of the cheapest hotels with private bathroom in central Amsterdam and the hotel is in an excellent location and only 5mins walk from central station. The hotel and room were pretty clean, although once the mattress topper and sheet came from one of the beds it was quite stained underneath, but rest of the room was very clean. Stayed in room 107 which was probably smaller than 2.5mx2.5m and has high windows overlooking a roof with a huge air con unit, while this made noise during the day, it did not cause any issues while sleeping during the night. Room safe was a nice bonus but the beds were not comfortable and some investment there would great improve the experience. The lady that checked me in was very friendly but the rest of the staff seemed to do their best not to interact or speak with you."

"We found a bed bug in our hostel, were told there were no other rooms available and so the only option was for the receptionist to check the mattress for any signs, there were no more signs of bed bugs so the sheets and bedding was replaced however none of the other mattresses which were in very close proximity/ touching the mattress were checked. I have ended up with over 100 bed bug bites all over my body - from my feet to my face - which will take weeks to heal and have only got worse in the past few days ive had them. On the other hand i will say that the location is great, right in the centre of amsterdam and a 5 minute walk from the train station with a pretty moderately clean bathroom and we had cleaners in every day. However, yet again, there is a negative to say as the cleaners binned one of my chocolate chip cookies i was looking forward to eating and also binned a receipt that we needed. All in all, the stay was alright, but please be very wary with booking here if you dont want to end up with itchy blister filled bites all over your body and the loss of your favourite cookie."
