"Don’t be tempted with the low price, there is a reason for it. This hotel should be closed immediately, it’s a safety hazard. I hope it will be closed before something terrible would happen there. Seriously, do not book this hotel if you value your health and safety.\nMy sister booked this place for two nights for me and my mother, non refundable booking and that was a huge mistake.\nEverything there is either broken or visibly repaired too frequently. The carpets should me lab tested because I think there could be new life form discovered in there…. But jokes aside, this place is disgusting to say the least.\nAnyone could come in to the hotel, because front door is not secured and you just need to push the door to come in. Also the lock on the room door is broken (the knob stayed in my hand), so you can’t lock room from the inside at night. We had to barricade the door with luggage for security…\nWhen I wanted to dry my hair, the barely working hair dryer fell off the wall and I’m quite sure it was placed too close to the bathroom sink. Also we only got one towel for two people staying.\nAnother thing is that we wanted to clear the air in the room, so we opened the window wide open and it almost fell off, because it was hanging only on one hinge….\nAnd to end out not so lovely stay in there, the fire alarm went on at 8:30 in the morning waking us up…. It went on for 15min and we didn’t know if we should evacuate or if it’s just another thing… we tried to call the reception desk (and front desk is at the other hotel few steps away on the same street), but the number provided on the room card was wrong… We tried another one from the web and it was occupied (to no surprise since everyone was trying to call them).\nWhen I issued the alarm at our check out, the receptionist was neglecting everything I was saying. He said that nothing was wrong because he was there fixing it… But we, as a guest’s didn’t know if there is a real fire and we should evacuate or not. The receptionist laughed at me and said they will make better next time. Well, there will be no next time for me there ever, but he didn’t mind that."

"We saw the reviews before coming, but we had already booked the rooms and decided to trust the less terrible ones. We didn’t cancel — and that was a huge mistake. The place was awful.\n\nLet’s be clear: this is not a hotel. It’s a dump.\nWe booked two rooms. Both had bugs. The bed sheets were stained, so we had to ask for clean ones. Of course, there was no staff to replace them, so we had to do it ourselves.\n\nWe planned to stay for six nights. We left after two. We asked for half of our money back or at least for a refund of the extra taxes we were asked to pay when we got there (which were never mentioned before). Needless to say, they refused.\n\nThe front desk guy was kind and tried to help — but look at the reviews across the web. It’s clear the management just doesn’t care.\n\nOne of our rooms had carpet, the other had wood flooring. The carpet was full of stains and burn marks — looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The wood floor was filthy too. It wasn’t even swept before we arrived.\n\nThis was a horrible experience. Don’t make the same mistake. Stay away."

"The comments are overly critical for my experience. The hotel is in a walking distance to all major places in Amsterdam, very close to Rijksmuseum. The room was not to stay in during day, but all its facilities are completely sufficient. Our bathroom was clean and comfortable, though not too large. We had a big window that we let opened all day long and even during night without being disturbed (on a 3rd floor, though). The hairdryer and TV didn’t work but all the toiletries and towels were perfect.\nIn addition the 24 hours front desk offers a luggage storage, which was useful, let alone the staff was always very kind."
