New Hotel Lafayette

"Rooms are very small but perfect if you’re a solo traveler. I asked for a room away from the street and was given a nice view of the quiet courtyard.\n\nThe shower arrangement is tough to work with, with how small the bathroom is, the water stays all over the entire floor. Additionally, the floor in my room hadn’t been vacuumed and I was stepping on dirt/hair throughout my stay.\n\nThe AC worked great and stayed on all night for me, despite some other reviews mentioning that it turns off at a certain time.\n\nThere have been other reviews mentioning the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and this happened to us as well, so I do not think these are isolated incidents.\n\nFinally, the included breakfast definitely needs improvement. The eggs are cold and watery, stale pastries and bread, and not much more of a selection beyond that. Save yourself the extra cash and book without the breakfast and visit one of the many great cafes nearby.\n\nGreat location, quiet and safe. Not 5 stars, but still good and doable for a solo traveler and a good value for what you pay."

"I found this hotel by chance on Booking while searching for something not overpriced, but still cozy, clean, and beautiful — and I’m so happy I did!\n\nFirst thing I want to mention is how incredibly friendly the front desk staff were — seriously, so warm and welcoming, joking around and making the whole check-in process feel super easy and relaxed.\n\nThe hotel itself is very stylish and charming. The rooms are quite compact, but beautifully designed and thoughtfully arranged. I asked the receptionist if it was possible to get a sunny room — and he gave me one on the top floor where the morning sun came in just perfectly. It truly made my stay special.\n\nYes, the room is small, but it’s functional and has everything you need for a comfortable night’s rest. After all, when you’re in Paris, you’re not supposed to be hanging out in your room all day anyway!\n\nI also really enjoyed the breakfast — it had everything I love. I asked the staff if they had oat milk (which wasn’t out on the table), and they kindly brought it to me separately. Everyone was just so polite, kind, and accommodating.\n\nThe location is amazing, quiet street, and walking distance to everywhere.\n\nOverall, this hotel made my stay in Paris very positive and memorable. Highly recommend!"
