Walk guide
Sheeps Head Way
The Sheeps Head Way (90km total) follows the smallest and quietest of West Cork's five peninsulas. The day-walk section from Kilcrohane to the Sheeps Head lighthouse follows the cliff edge with views across Bantry Bay to the Beara Peninsula and north to Kerry. The peninsula has virtually no tourist infrastructure — no visitor centres, no chain hotels — just farms, fishing villages, and some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Ireland.
