"Stayed 8 nights at the end of July 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better location. Pod 39 is less than a 5‑minute walk to Grand Central Station, which made getting around the city effortless, and most of New York’s main attractions were within easy reach.\n\nI booked a single‑bed room. It was small, but very well organized and functional, which was perfect for a business trip where I wasn’t spending much time in the room. The highlight was the roof garden on the 17th floor, offering a fantastic view of the New York skyline and a great spot to unwind after a busy day.\n\nOverall, a great choice for solo travelers or business trips looking for convenience and a central base in Manhattan."

"I’d give this location a solid B+! My biggest issues came from the bathroom. We already know these layouts are tight, and privacy is very limited. The bathroom doors DO NOT slide all the way closed, please, for the love of all things change this. With that said, as I figure they won’t be able to do that now, frost the windows to the bathroom ALL the way, I shouldn’t be able to make eye contact with someone from the shower area with someone in the top bunk.\n\nMy other issue that knocked this out of an A. The staff they employ for the rooftop bar can be extremely rude, and you can tell they target women to see if they want to go up. You’ll have guys in the lobby that are constantly trying to hold the elevator for people visiting the bar when people paying to be here are being stopped. So the lobby has times that are super packed because of this, especially on Friday/Saturday. Again, trying to be as objective as possible.\n\nNow my super pros I really liked about this Pod location! Love my gyms, this location has Blink Fitness, it’s right around the corner on the same block. If it’s raining you are in the rain for about 15 steps, you’ll be okay. You’re super close to a diverse selection of foods, Wagamama is literally down the street, SO GOOD! Grand Central is 2 blocks away. Depending on the day you get there the daily rates for parking fluctuates, it was around 27.50 a day and we got there on a Thursday."

"Great location, super convenient to train connections, they also have walking tours each day that are included. The roof top bar has amazing views, however the drinks are a bit over priced. The room was clean and tidy and I really enjoyed my stay! The attendants at the front counter were incredibly helpful and nice! Highly recommend!"
