"We stayed for two nights in a hotel that advertised a "full breakfast" on Booking. However, the reality was quite different. The breakfast consisted of snacks (muffins, yogurt, apples, jam and butter) placed on a counter at the reception, and although we were around 7.30am at the reception, the second day, there was even less available. When we asked for more coffee and hot water for tea, the staff member rudely replied that "if I put the water in the kettle in the room, it will be just as hot as the one in the thermos at the reception, and I can boil it myself." and when I kindly explained that is not ok and I came for "snack and tea" on my way out, I just got the same answer "Boil it"\n\nThe cleaning service was not daily, even though two staff members confirmed that it should be.\n\nOn the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and the room was fine when we first entered. The other staff members were polite. The location was also good, but without the view."

"Stayed for 5 days and 4 nights — would not recommend.\n\nWhile I expected small rooms (this is Manhattan, after all), I didn’t expect them to be so poorly maintained. The bathroom door was visibly water-damaged and couldn’t open fully without hitting the toilet, making it difficult to enter. Worst of all, the AC emitted a strong mildew smell every time we turned it on—during a heatwave—which likely made several of us sick.\n\nService was also lacking. Housekeeping only came once. We had to request fresh towels daily, often going to the front desk ourselves for basic items like towels, soap, or trash bags. These requests were frequently met with confusion or even attitude. For example, when we asked for more towels for our group of four, we were told, “We only give two towels at a time,” despite our reservation clearly showing four guests.\n\nThe front desk staff often seemed annoyed by even the most basic requests. When I asked to use the public restroom on the lowest floor—accessible only with a key—I was met with a sarcastic, “Why do you keep needing to use the bathroom downstairs?” I had to explain that with four people and one toilet, sometimes that’s necessary.\n\nThe location is convenient and close to public transit, but unfortunately, that’s the only highlight. Overall, the poor maintenance, inadequate service, and dismissive attitude from staff made this a disappointing experience. I would not stay here again."

"Our room was very clean. Small but had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful.\n\nFront desk may not be staffed at all hours, and there is no front door or elevator security.\n\nGreat location for the financial district. Would stay again."
