"What a joke of a hotel... I stayed at 19 Pepper Street in what was advertised as a deluxe double room. I had to share a bathroom with four or five others-- absolutely disgusting. The room was definitely not clean. The amount of flies, spiders and mosquitoes right outside of my room and the main entrance was shocking. As a solo female traveller, staying in such a situation without a receptionist on site made me feel very uncomfortable. I also felt that the door and its lock could've been broken.\nAlso, no place to hang towels to dry, no bedside lamp.\nAdditionally, the walls are very thin and you can hear other guests talking. Also, in the middle of the day it was impossible to take a nap without being woken up by the radio which was played at full blast by the cleaning staff.\nThe girl at the other location's reception was kind. That and the location were the only positives.\nThis should have been MUCH cheaper for what it is because for only £30 more per night I could have gone to a very good hotel in Canary Wharf.\n\nOh also?? Bed bugs"

"For how much we paid it was so worth it. Only spent one night in this hotel but it was very different from the usual ones we stay in. The place was nice tidy and clean, receptionist working was lovely and she showed us to our room. It was like a wee apartment as she walked us out of the reception and into the next door which had its own lock so only guests could get in after 9pm, then our room, it was only one of two on that floor which was nice. The room was a decent size, had a fridge, and a fan (much needed during a heatwave). We had our own bathroom (I know a lot of reviews say they had a shared one - maybe just make sure you do book the correct room type), bathroom was a really good size. Location was great as well, only tiny point for improvement (not even a complaint) would be more towels in the room. We went during the 34° heatwave so went for multiple showers and only had two towels and a hand towel. Other than that it was literally perfect and such a good hotel, definitely recommend especially at such a good price point."

"Stayed in room 203. Room was clean and tidy and looked freshly decorated. The room had a fan and fridge with a couple of bottles of water, which was a nice touch. Find it difficult to find the staff when I wanted some extra pulis but apart from that. Nice easy stay"
