"We were welcomed at the Phoenix Hotel to get our keys. In the actual building where the rooms are there is not attendee/desk, which was fine for us since we only stayed for one night and have been to London before. Our room was on the third floor, we had our backpacks so carrying them upstairs (there is no elevator) was fine. If you have a big suitcase it would be more of a challenge. The room itself was like the pictures. The interior was a bit outdated but clean. There were also only one type of tea (breakfast tea), would prefer to also have a herbal option (caffeine free). Since it’s a older building it was a bit noisy (neighbors) and we were staying at the street side, so we were woken up early in the morning by the trucks who clean the streets. The location is great, near the subway and walking distance to Nothing Hill. The next day we could leave our luggage at the Phoenix Hotel all day, which was nice."

"Great location within a vibrant neighbourhood. Clean, but very small rooms.\nWe‘ve stayed during the summer with the room being uncomfortably hot, and were not able to fully open the window. I‘m aware that this is because of safety regulations, but that’s just something one should consider during the warm periods of the year."

"Great hotel for a one-night stay. Very cosy and comfortable, with all you need.\nThe only two things I have to point out is that the rooms have few isolation, making it a little bit noisy when you have Spanish neighbours; and, me being a person that loves and needs complete darkness when sleeping, the curtains don’t block out the light from outside, making it a little bit too bright when the sun starts to shine."
