The Corner London City

"Our first time at The Corner London City and it was lovely. On arriving I had to call the hotel as my husband is disabled and has 2 sticks to help him. I could not find a parking space. The young man on the phone came out of the hotel to direct me to the back of the hotel where there was a disabled parking. Very friendly staff. Our room was lovely and so clean and looks like a brand new room. A tv at the end of the Super king bed and Air conditioning which was much needed. An absolutely wonderful hotel and very reasonable cost. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area."

"I had a terrible experience at this hotel and strongly advise against staying there.\n\nUpon checking in, the automated process failed, taking around 10 minutes. To make matters worse, my room had an overflowing toilet. Despite trying to sleep through it, I woke up at 3 am, exhausted. I went down to reception, but the initial reaction was to blame me for not informing them sooner.\n\nAfter trying to fix the issue, they moved me to another room, which was inconvenient at such an early hour. The air conditioning in my new room sounded like a plane, so I had to go down to reception again. The solution was to turn it off, which was not ideal during a heatwave in the UK.\n\nWhen I checked out, the staff was unable to provide any compensation, advising me that they would sort it out in the managers’ meeting. This is quite uncommon, as resolution can usually be found at reception.\n\nTo make matters even worse, I received an insincere email today, informing me that there was nothing they could do to compensate. Furthermore, they blamed me for showing some frustration when I was exhausted during the early hours of the morning.\n\nOverall, this hotel had a terrible attitude and a management team that clearly do not care about the customer experience."

"I almost completed a really nice stay here, but then I discovered on my last day that a couple of my things (hair clips and makeup) were missing and likely stolen. The cleaners were the only people who I was aware of accessing my room, and I can only hope that my missing things are due to an accidental cleaning mistake.\n\nOther than that, the receptionists were super kind, the location was in a great spot, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a room without a window, so the overall lighting was limited and dim. AC worked well, and the water temperature control and pressure were good."
