"Not even worth 1 star, absolute horrible place, was given a room in a basement area, first it stunk of damp mould. Black mould on the ceiling, I was shocked to think someone would low someone to stay in such a health risk of a room. Demanded a new room, and was given a slightly better room, of which the shower flooded the bathroom due to blocked drain, full of human hair. Disgusting place to stay."

"Anyone looking for a luxury service needs to look elsewhere. But if all you need is a bed in a good location, this is fine. Not great, but good enough if you don’t intend to be in the room much. It’s basically like a student accommodation but with a clean towel for the shower.\n\nDoes what it says on the tin, for the lowest price I could find. Staff seem generally pleasant."

"The entrance.\nThe receptionist (lady in a small cupboard with a hatch in the wall). Didn't speak clear English. Didn't know where any shops were (every shop and restaurant you can imagine was just at the end of the road!).\nStairs up to the rooms were filthy and carpets were old and filthy, they were also steep, no lift.\nRooms weren't clearly signed and was confusing.\nWalked in and although on 1st impression was ok, our room absolutely stunk of drains!\nWalls were filthy.\nCarpet was filthy and weren't fitted properly.\nRadiators were filthy and full of dirt.\nBed was uncomfortable with an extremely springy (you could feel every spring) in the mattress.\nDuvet looked none existent but because the room was so hot we ended up sleeping on top.\nOnly had one, flat pillow each and had no spares to make myself comfortable as have fibromyalgia.\nKettle situated right next to the bed, we had to use everything on the floor for safety.\nPlug socket next to the bed was starting to crumble and literally was coming away from the wall, didn't feel safe using it.\nLight near the bed did not look safe to use.\nStained walls.\nShower room door had been filled in but not finished.\nMetal sticker stuff was partially covering the door but was not finished so think there was dents on the door they were trying to cover up.\nOpen the shower room door and you get hit with a massive smell of drains which straight away puts you off wanting to use the facilities.\nDrain for some reason was in the middle of the floor and looked filthy.\nDoor frame was covered in dust/dirt.\nToilet bowl was stained and filthy.\nLeft with a half roll of toilet paper and on no holder which must of fallen off as there was more filler in the wall.\nSink was too tiny to use.\nAs you step over the filthy, stinky drain to get to the shower cubicle and open the door, you get smacked in the face with another drain smell!\nUsed the shower and was far too hot to use as couldn't cool it down due to the shower dials being broken, so couldnt finish my shower as was worried I would faint.\nNo shower mat to put down to stop me from slipping.\nNo bin in the bathroom.\nWe had only two towels that definitely weren't bath towels they were more like hand towels!\nWas scared to use the water incase it was literally pumped straight from the Thames!\nView outside small window was looking onto what looked like flats and didn't know as the hotel description I don't think mentions it but we were literally backed onto a subway so could hear consistent trains going back and forth until 0100 and again 0600 onwards.\nWe had somebody above us with absolutely no respect then play extremely loud music for hours whilst walking around on a creaky floors. So we had no sleep what so ever with that and the trains.\nCome morning even though check out was at 1100 we had house keeping knocking on our door at around 0900!\nWhen we left the room to walk down stairs, all over the landing was laundry bags, bedding etc from the house keeper that I had to tiptoe around with a disability - definite health and safety issue!\nChecked out and the man in the cupboard with a hatch opening also didn't speak English and didn't speak to us at all, didn't even ask how our stay was.\nOverall was a waste of £80 and would recommend anyone to avoid this "hotel"."
