"Disappointing Stay and Unacceptable Service\n\nThe images truly don't capture the abysmal state of this hotel. Despite booking the Sapphire Hotel, I was relegated to another property under their ownership, a clear downgrade in quality.\nThe poor standard of the room was immediately evident, and when I raised concerns, the staff's rudeness was unfortunately unsurprising.\nA key issue for my stay was the failure to honor my request for a ground-floor room due to medical reasons. I had specifically requested this when booking and was assured it would be accommodated. Upon arrival, I was met with poor treatment and a staff member who attempted to ridicule me, claiming I should have only informed them a week in advance, despite my early request.\nTo add to the frustrations, breakfast, which was included in my booking, was unavailable. I was informed by staff that they haven't offered breakfast since COVID, a fact that should have been communicated upfront.\nI strongly advise against booking this hotel. Save yourself the disappointment and seek accommodation elsewhere."

"If you need somewhere to sleep and shower, this place has beds and washrooms. You have to check in to the Pearl Hotel 7 doors down to get your room key. The gentleman at the "lobby" (living room of another hotel which is actually just a converted house) was very kind and helpful in offering places to shop and hangout.\nThere are also a TON of pamphlets and entertainment booklets in the main hallway when you enter the "hotel" (more like a motel/converted house) which is awesome.\nThe location of this hotel is WONDERFUL. It's within a 15 minute walking distance from 3 different tube stations and a shopping centre and lots of restaurants. There's also a Sainsbury right across the street so if you're looking for some inexpensive food, just walk across the street.\nThat's pretty much all the positives I can say about this place.\n\nThe hotel room had horribly stained carpets, scuffs all over the walls, dust on every surface, stains on the curtains, beds, bed sheets and towels and mold in the bathroom.\nEven the cups that were provided for tea were dirty. Not just stained, but had grime on the inside. There were no tissues, no "Do Not Disturb" signs, not even a service phone. Housekeeping does not dust the place during turn down service. They do the laundry every 3 days but do "clean" the rooms daily, although at different times of the day. Some days they'll start at 08:00am, other days they'll clean at 10:00am or even 2:00pm. It's very inconsistent. They do provide bars of soap, conditioning shampoo and body wash.\nThe beds were very uncomfortable.\n\nThere's no air conditioner but there are electric fans and the windows do open so that's helpful. Since it's located on a main road, it's very noisy outside. Just down the road is a police station so except to hear sirens every 10 minutes or so all throughout the day and night.\n\nThe building itself does not have elevators. You need to haul your luggage up and down VERY narrow stairs yourself and with guests going up and down the stairs and opening and closing doors, it's very noisy. Each floor has a few rooms and are closed off by a fire door but whenever someone opens that door to go to their rooms, it creates a vacuum effect that makes the door to your room shake and rattle. Sounds like someone is trying to enter your room but they're not. Something to get used to.\n\nAlso, every Monday they do a fire alarm test. There's a sign in the main hallway that says it happens at 11:00am however, sometimes they do it in the afternoon. I came back to the room at around 2:30pm once thinking the fire alarm testing was over however, they ended up doing the test at 4:15pm whilst I was trying to take a nap.\n\nSince this place is one of the cheaper options, you really do get what you pay for."
