Russell Square Hotel

"Super great location at an affordable price. Literally right next to the tube station. If you're not big on luxury you probably can't beat the location at this price point. The rooms and amenities were sparse but clean. We loved stepping out and right into the metro. #awsomelocation"

"DO NOT STAY HERE unless absolutely necessary.\nMy partner another group and I arrived a little earlier than our check-in time. The hotel was all locked and no one could get in. We waited 30 minutes knocking at the door and ringing the doorbell until we had to shout out to other guest staying there to retrieve the person looking after the place. (Also their phone number associated with the booking did not work).\nWhen we finally got into the so called “lobby” the owner/staff member said we had to put our bags in a room that did not lock with no security and leave until the room was ready.\n\nWhen we came back we were greeted with the most disgusting/dirty room I’ve ever stayed in. They advertise air conditioning. This is not the case. One tiny fan and an old window to open was the only thing to cool the room down.\nThe bathroom was tiny and dated with no window and no fan in there! The water pressure in the shower was horrendous also.\nThe bed was tiny and no way would fit a couple in it like advertised. Also the room is far from soundproof, impossible to sleep as it constantly sounds like someone is banging on your door or trying to get in as the rooms are extremely close together.\n\nOverall, I truly recommend spending a bit more money per night to stay elsewhere, and not make the same mistake we did thinking it would be a good deal being close to the tube station (which is the only positive of this entire place)."

"Yes, might be good being located next to a tube station but rooms are terrible, literally zero service with a disgusting bathroom and room. The shower has two temperatures: very hot, and very cold. And there's no space at all for me to open my baggage. But yeah, it's pretty convenient next to many shops and attractions but room itself is terrible."
