"Sadly, we were only stopping at Ruby Lucy for one night. Our room was lovely - really spacious, the bed was insanely comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the soap and shower gel is truly the most delicious thing I have ever smelled.\n\nThe staff were a delight - nothing was too much trouble. The downstairs bar area was a lot of fun and beautifully designed.\n\nThe breakfast was great - especially speaking as a vegan. There was good variety of both British favourites and continental options.\n\nThe signature mocktail was so good I had 2. Great work, Ruby Lucy!"

"I wanted to love this hotel. I stayed for a week based on the positive reviews.\n\nDuring the day, it’s great. After hours - completely different story. It’s advertised that the bar is open 24/7. After 11:30 pm, even though the spirits are out, there are no cocktails served - beer and wine only. Perfectly okay, but the gentleman who works late nights makes you feel terrible to ask for any kind of service. Tonight, I brought back a friend following a black tie event for a final glass of wine. Nobody was behind the bar for 30+ minutes. I eventually went looking for someone, only to find him playing a game in the lobby with AirPods in. I asked if we could grab a glass of wine or beer - he told me no (still with AirPods in) because my guest wasn’t staying at the hotel. Then went back to his game.\n\nAgain, it’s a cool concept and I wanted to love this hotel. But really frustrating to feel like an inconvenience when you’ve spent a large sum of money to stay."

They really listened to what we enjoy in a drink, made thoughtful recommendations, and even surprised us with a custom cocktail. I can’t recommend this place enough for drinks—especially because of these two. I’ve never experienced such attention to detail at a cocktail bar before!"
