"There was an actual bedbug on my body. This place is filthy and stinks. The first room they put me on looked like a derelict and smelled of chemicals, toilets and mould. The floor was stained and had not been cleaned ever. Someone’s q-tip was still under the ‘dresser’. The curtain hooks were broken and the curtain didn’t cover the window. The door lock was broken and wouldn’t lock. There was a crushed cockroach in the hall outside my room. But most of all, there was that bedbug, crawling on me. When I complained to the staff, he didn’t seem too surprised. He put me in a different upstairs room which was less malodorous and sordid but still awful. You couldn’t get into the bathroom/toilet easily because there was furniture in the way. There was a pile of rags in the hall covered in something disgusting. The place was sauna hot, and while there had been no air conditioner in the first room the one in the second room wasn’t plugged in … and indeed, there was no socket to plug in to. If it hadn’t been past midnight, I would have left. I had just travelled halfway round the world, had been awake nearly 36hours and was exhausted and just wanted to sleep but even in the new, cleaner room, sleeping was not an option because I was checking for bedbugs and roaches. On top of this, I could hear everything the people in the neighbouring rooms were doing. Overpriced? The photos you see on the listing sites are *not* of this hotel I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me. This place should just not be open. It’s a health hazard and just steals your money. And has bed bugs."

"Awful place.....stayed here as it was all I could find in budget for a couple of nights. As soon as I got in the room it felt dirty, but I thought I'd put up with it for a couple of days. Opened door to the bathroom and the smell was horrific, but I shit the door and thought I'd put up with it. Curtains didn't close properly but no significant issue. The real issue I stumbled across (quite literally) was when I got up during the night and there were cockroaches on the floor (which then disappeared under the bed.....). Barely slept the rest of the night. I've been lucky enough to travel this year and stayed in a number of hostels and I can comfortably say this is the worst accommodation I've stayed in all year. Checked out a night early, as there was no way I was staying 2 nights, showered and brushed teeth in local gym as didn't want to risk the bathroom, manager not around to talk to, have sent a message on their website but no response....... horrendous"

"This was the worst experience in a hotel that I have ever had. I checked in late and didn't have time to go elsewhere. The place was filthy and I felt so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep. There were smeared dirt on the walls, the windows were covered in pigeon shit, and there was a general smell of something off. The biggest clue should have been the lobby, where the couch had an enormous stain. The room also didn't have a proper fire exit. There was a window into a central air shaft, but no ladder to climb out. There were two stairwells from the basement, but if there was a fire in the hallway neither would be accessible. I checked out and demanded a refund of the remaining nights, but they refused. I am reporting them to the health and fire inspectors. They should be shut down."
