"I booked this room for my colleague, and the booking was confirmed without any issues. On arrival arrived at the accommodation, he discovered a code was required to access, which we had not been sent.\n\nLuckily, another guest staying at the premises let my colleague into the building, but then discovered he required a separate code for his room.\n\nI could not locate any contact details for ‘Verv Islington’ or Booking.com (whom I booked through), other than the support email submission through booking.com, which meant I had no way of contacting anyone to support with this issue in live time.\n\nLuckily, my colleague managed to locate a contact number once inside the building, when he finally got through to someone, he was told we were never sent the access codes as we never provided an ID or a security deposit. This was, of course, very frustrating to hear, as at no point did we receive any communication from booking.com or Verv Islington, that we needed to provide a form of ID or security deposit.\n\nDue to being unable to contact Booking.com or Verv Islington, and then when we finally did get through to Verv, there being an additional delay while we sent over the information required, my colleague had to wait 3 hours until he managed to gain access to his room.\n\nI am just glad that he managed to bump into someone else staying at the accommodation, so he was not waiting outside for 3 hours.\n\nAlso to add, when he did finally get into the room, it smelled fousty, and of old cigarettes."

"I stayed in the ground floor room. It was clean and fully equipped. The room is a little stuffy and you can hear people who walk by outside, however at night the area is very quiet and I slept well. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. I used the free coffee (instant only). The shower was ok, nothing special but functional. The best thing is the location and ease of access. It is close to fantastic restaurants, pubs, fast food, tube etc. A really beautiful area. Picture postcard London. For the price I think it is a good place to stay."

★☆☆☆☆
"Horrible place. It’s like paying for staying in an old, dirty shared house.\nNo wifi or signal from some rooms and downstairs shared area.\nOne night I arrived at the room and there was no electricity. Thanks to one guest that arrived and he did something from his room to get the electricity back.\n\nFrom the room you can see the light from outside.\n\nNot very secure place as the main door doesn’t shut properly if guests don’t close it properly.\n\nGood location.\n\nNote, kitchen with no fridge."
