"The room with a balcony was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee while watching the large tree and the squirrels just outside — it was a peaceful and calming experience. The breakfast staff were cheerful and kind, and the food was delicious. Since the room was on the first floor, it was easy to use the stairs when returning from outside, which made things quite convenient.\n\nOn the other hand, I did encounter a few moments of confusion at the front desk. At check-in, there was no explanation about breakfast, and on the first morning, my name was not on the breakfast list, which almost led to being charged at the venue. While not all staff were like this, some interactions felt rather formal and distant, with little to no greeting unless I initiated the conversation.\n\nI wondered if my experience might have been influenced in some way by the fact that I’m Asian, although I can’t say for certain. That said, there were also staff members who left a positive impression, so it wasn’t a consistent issue.\n\nThe price was higher than usual due to dynamic pricing, but considering it was the busy summer season and there were events going on at Hyde Park, I understand that this was somewhat expected.\n\nAll in all, the stay was pleasant. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere — I rarely crossed paths with other guests, and the overall sense of privacy made the experience feel restful and comfortable."

"When I arrived I was told I was on the lower ground floor which is the basement. On first inspection the room looked okay. Clean, tidy, very compact. However, there was a distinct smell of damp, although no evidence of it. It was a double room and I was on my own so the small compact space was not an issue. The small window overlooked a wall. The bathroom again was small compact but very clean and very bright. However, the smell of the drains was quite strong. The small sink had no hot water. Fortunately the shower did. The AC worked very well and there were plenty of towels. My first night, however, every time somebody flushed a toilet upstairs there was a clicking noise in the corner of the bedroom that went on quite loudly. It was very distracting. One thing that did annoy me was they provided one tea bag. I then got some other tea bags but when they cleaned my room they took away the extra tea bags and left me with one again. This was very confusing. The location for us was very good. 2 minutes walk from Gloucester tube station. However I would not stay here again. The constant clicking in the corner of the bedroom sounded like water was dripping and it was really, really loud. I did not ask to change rooms as we were only there two nights. However if I was staying longer I would want a much better room for the price."

"Amazing experience. Perfect location with the Gloucester road tube station a stone's throw distance from the hotel. Wonderful staff, pleasant and friendly, willing to go to any extent to meet your needs. Delicious breakfast, just the perfect number of items for breakfast. Amazing freshly baked waffles and croissants alone is worth returning to the place."
