Ibis London Heathrow Airport Hotel

"Thank you to Hilda and her lovely team in the restaurant. On the 3 occasions, we stayed here and the food was delicious, the service was prompt and excellent. The staff are so lovely and positive and can’t do enough to help. You made our stay special and we looked forward to coming back here. It is close to the airport. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The reception staff were lovely and welcoming and went the extra mile for us."

"Most of the stay was good – great service and a convenient location.\nThe room with two beds was comfortable, but there was no air conditioning, which is not ideal during the summer. The window couldn’t be opened, which made it even more uncomfortable.\nThe bathroom had a modern design, but water overflowed onto the floor while showering.\nBreakfast was below my expectations. There were no salads or fried eggs, which made the selection feel incomplete."

"Read carefully before booking this airport hotel.\n\nI travel frequently and understand there are specific checkout times, but during check-in at 11:00 pm, the staff (an Indian lady) did not inform me about the checkout time, and I also forgot to ask. My flight was at 9:30 pm the next day, so I planned to leave around 5:00 pm. However, around 2:30 pm, a staff member came to the room and asked me to leave immediately. I requested 30 minutes to pack, but he refused and insisted I leave within 15 minutes, mentioning there would be a significant extra charge for late checkout, possibly for a full night. I understand it is a business, but considering I checked in late at night, it would have shown better hospitality to allow a couple of extra hours without charge.\n\nI stayed here because my flight was cancelled, and my usual choice, Courtyard Marriott, was sold out. I paid £93.50 for the room with breakfast. I was given Room 507, which was compact but had a view of the airport.\n\nA major concern was the lack of a phone in the room. Instead, guests must contact reception via WhatsApp, which is not practical in case of an emergency. The menu shows some items are available 24 hours, but there is no room service; you need to go downstairs to collect your order, which is inconvenient after a tiring day.\n\nBreakfast was acceptable. At check-in, you can choose between a full English breakfast (£13.50) or a continental breakfast (£9), as I recall. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport for £6.50, but a regular bus from this location costs only £1.75, making the shuttle an unnecessary expense.\n\nOverall, the location is convenient for the airport, but the lack of flexibility and limited services made the stay less comfortable than expected."
