Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell by IHG

"Brand new location of IHG‘s Indigo brand in London. Was not familiar with the Clerkenwell area but was eager to stay in a new property. Still it was time if he soft opening so not all floors were operational and the gym was still under construction. Was offered a 3rd party gym day pass which I found a nice touch.\n\nRooms are functional and being brand new obviously in great shape. Bed was super comfy. There are plenty of outlets including USB chargers. Bathrooms have walk in showers and plenty of storage space which I consider a big plus. Was not a big fan of the two sliding doors to the bathroom.\n\nThe breakfast was ok, service still needs to be fine-tuned. While the breakfast buffet selection included full English breakfast items, cold cuts, cheeses, a variety of bread and pastries, yoghurt and cornflakes, I did not appreciate the fact that made to order items like pancakes or even egg dishes were chargeable at 6 GBP. Hotels should stop adding these practices to their breakfast options and include it in a flat fee. Just my view and expectation when staying at a four star property and already paying a premium for the breakfast.\n\nThe location was ok, within walking distance to hammersmith and circle tube lines, but could have been closer to main sights for our sightseeing and shopping trip."

"We stayed at this hotel during a business trip amid one of London's heatwaves this year. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and fully air-conditioned, which was a real relief. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the location in trendy Clerkenwell was perfect. Highly recommended!"
