"Booked here as a double bed for two was then moved to next door as they sold the room we were to stay in, we were put in a room with 5 bunk beds and we then complained and got moved again to the other next door place and it was 5 small single child length beds we couldn't stay there the smell was disgusting the beds were very small no air conditioning/ windows to open, I also was getting cancer treatment and couldn't get up the stairs , we expected refund as we were not given what we booked and was refused , we didn't stay in the beds or even have breakfast , while we were trying to leave another guest was complaining also but the guy didn't care, please DONT STAY HERE was the worst hotel / people to deal with. We ended up round the corner in a different hotel which was cheaper, staff was lovely and had air conditioning and had a good sleep."

"Warning: do not book a room here. Smells like sewage from the bathroom. VERY tiny bed for two people. No value for money. Also we paid a lot more at hotels.com than what we would if we paid directly.\nIt is extremely hot in the rooms with no aircon Only a fan. No shampoo in the bathrooms. I have lived at hostels that are better than this.. probably my worst hotel night in years..also did not get any help or support from the staff and they refused to talk to the manager or call him because it was a weekend (!?).. hotels.com could not help us because they could not get a hold of the manager. Worst stay ever."

"SINGLE ROOM REVIEW. Older style, family run hotel, no lift. Single rooms are TINY. Like converted storage cupboards with a tiny shower nook.\nHeating was very average, which wasn't great in winter. One radiator heater didn't work at all and had to get someone in to fix it. In the meantime there were no small heaters available and the room was extremely cold. Curtains were ill-fitting and very thin so that didn't help with heating and it never got really warm inside the room. No extra blankets or pillows provided.\nNo room to put a larger suitcase out at all without taking up the whole floor, no bench space in the bathroom. I requested a room on the bottom floor due to no lift in the building and having a really heavy suitcase, and was given a room on the top floor (7 staircases). Then was told there was no-one to help me take my suitcase up (would have happily carried it with someone else).\nService was friendly, although there was no 'little bit extra' to help at times. Staff were not always on site so not available quickly, although usually within 15-30 minutes.\nLocation is great - 3 minute walk from Paddington Station but that does mean you constantly hear the trains underneath the building. You get used to it but it does shake and is quite loud.\nI wouldn't stay at this hotel again, it was adequate at best and reasonably clean, the main drawcard was the location, and it was a single room only so perhaps other rooms are different. Was my worst rated hotel of my whole UK trip and I stayed in other rooms similarly priced."
