"The bad -\nThe overall cleanliness of the room wasn't great, quite dusty surfaces, stained tea tray which clearly hasn't been cleaned for some time. Sink and shower don't drain very well and a rather stinky odour from the shower, hence why there's a rubber cover. iPod radio, you can see in the picture how dirty it is.\n\nI left the tag on the door handle for the room to be serviced each day however the only servicing they seem to have done was put clean towels on the top of a toilet seat, not very hygienic. They didn't make the bed, it was exactly how it was left each day.\n\nI paid just under £100 per night and I feel a bit cheated.\n\nThe good -\nThe bed was comfortable, location decent a short walk from Russell square station and a 15 minute walk from Euston."

"While the location was very good, the rooms were not as advertised. They were much smaller, dirty and it was very hard to sleep due to the noise outside the room from people moving around the building and due to the heat (which could not be controlled in the room) and the noise of a fan outside the window."

"Would not recommend.\n\n1. We showed up before check-in time and was allowed to leave our bags. When we later checked in the room was not at all cleaned after the previous guests. The receptionist apologized (the cleaner had already left for the day), and we could come back in 30-40 minutes. Fortunately, we were refunded half of the price for the room. How the room was cleaned is a mystery.\n2. The room was not cleaned very well, with dust on most surfaces, and a thick layer of dust in the window (I regret trying to blow on it). There were multiple different stains on walls and the side of the bed. The two bottles of shower gel had clearly been reused. The teaspoons had stains of previous use on them. They had clearly not been cleaned. There were no hand towels.\n3. What you would normally call water pressure is at best a slight trickle in the shower. Forget about washing your hair.\n4. The bathroom is tiny.\n5. The stairs are very, very narrow, and traversing them with luggage is a challenge.\n6. The desk in the romm is at a slant, leading to a fun haunted drawer that keeps popping out.\n\nI guess kudos to the receptionist for making the room somewhat livable (he looked just as surprised as us at the state of the room), but one would expect the hotel had routines for checking the rooms between guests."
