Blackbird

"Our new favourite place to stay when visiting London! We liked everything about The Blackbird.\n\nFirstly, the location is excellent, being just a minute's walk from the entrance to Earls Court tube station.\n\nWe stayed 2 nights whilst attending the tennis at Wimbledon, as well as Abba Voyage. We dined here both nights and it's fair to say the menu options are good and the food excellent. Guests are entitled to a free drink and a discount on any food purchased, which was a wee bonus.\n\nOur room was Jacques, a small double on the 3rd floor. It was nicely decorated with tasteful furniture. It was bright and airy and well appointed with a coffee machine and a fridge with complimentary bottles of water and fresh milk. There was also a range of complimentary products in the bathroom and a rainfall shower with good pressure.\n\nBreakfast was also superb. Help yourself to fresh fruit, juice and cereal. Hot options are varied and cooked to order. Very tasty indeed!\n\nFinally, a shout out to all the staff who were friendly and attentive at all times. A special mention to Stacey who went the extra mile when we dined here on night 2.\n\nWe'll definitely be back, hopefully sooner rather than later."

"We booked this hotel at the last minute for 3 nights and it was truly exceptional. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is great (buffet + service) and the room was perfect for two people. It was bigger than other hotels nearby and the bathroom was separated from the bedroom (there is a small vestibule). We appreciated that it was quiet and the location was exceptional. We would highly recommend this hotel."

"In many ways this is a perfect pub .... Apart from the way the staff think customers are an inconvenience. Great beer, great food, but, boy, were we an inconvenience when we stayed in the back room after 9pm.\nWe heard the staff tell a customer that they didn't have room for a table of 8 when they patently did, in the back room. They made them sit in the front bar as two tables of four.\nA good pub is made by the staff and welcome, this drops two stars because of that."
