"I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. The hotel itself looks decent, but the service was far from what you'd expect—even from a budget place.\n\nFrom the moment we arrived, the front desk staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. No smiles, no welcome, just a rushed check-in with barely any information provided. We had a few simple requests during our stay (extra towels, room cleaning, and help with local recommendations), and each time, the staff either brushed us off or took forever to respond—if they did at all.\n\nWhat’s worse, there was a clear lack of professionalism. I overheard staff complaining about guests right at the front desk, and when I tried to ask a question, I was made to feel like I was interrupting them.\n\nI understand not everything can be perfect, but basic courtesy and attentiveness shouldn’t be too much to ask. Unfortunately, the poor service really overshadowed any of the hotel’s positives. I won't be staying here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others."

"First time in my life that i reserve an apartment with a good balcony and views paying an extra and the hotel have close the balcony door with key. I tried to talk with them but a skinny guy with glasess in the reception was disgusting. Then i cant enjoy the balcony that i had pay, not even i can open a window in all my stay during all a week feeling like be trapped in a jail . The management of the place are genius! (ironic mode on). I never will be in a Carlton again in my life. The rest of the employees, guy that clean the rooms, girl that smyle a lot in the restaurant, black guy in the elevators were very friendly and efficient, thanks to everyone and for that i put some points."

"Carlton Dubai creek - Brutally honest review\n\nCheck in - asked a question about the room, as there were no pictures when you select the type of room for your group size online, a lady beside the gentleman checking us in said “one large bed. Just go and see” in a very rude manner. Like she was fed up. These types of personalities do not belong in hospitality. The gentleman checking us in was very polite otherwise.\n\nRoom - fruit flies buzzing everywhere. Had to kill a few because the kids were fed up. Every day, we noticed more and more flies. The sink had a very bad smell so I’m guessing there is a problem there.\nOn arrival we found Two almost empty toilet rolls. Two towels for four people. It was very dirty. Bits of old food on tables and chairs in the apartment. There are no doors to the bedroom so we couldn’t close the bedroom door and sit in the living room when our children were asleep. The size of apartment was however was great, there are two shower rooms and a bathtub.\nLocation - near the creek and a metro station, plenty of shops walking distance from here which is convenient. Be careful of the timing though because as a family we felt very uncomfortable going for a stroll in the evening, as there were many many men walking around and sitting around too. My guess is a lot of working men are living in this area so there are many of them.\n\nTowels - not enough in the first place and the ones we had were stained. So unhygienic, wondering if they get washed properly.\n\nBed was very large but not enough for a family of four. They provided us with a baby cot but only two sheets and no mattress. So our toddler couldn’t sleep in there.\n\nNoise - cars driving, beeping, doors slamming, chairs being dragged, even conversations in the hall way. The room is not soundproofed and also feels like it has no walls or windows, that’s how noisy it is. We could also hear a very loud drilling in the day time which frightened my girls they cried. Luckily we spent the days out so we didn’t have to listen to this all day.\n\nBreakfast - although the apartment room was disappointing the breakfast was decent, plenty of fruit, hot and cold food options, omelette station and tea options. However only basic coffee, no coffee machine.\n\nLots of large deliveries being made to the hotel and only one small door for coming in and out. Double automatic doors weren’t working the whole time. So we were often bumping in to people on the way in and out.\n\nOverall wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t ever stay here again. I’ve stayed in many hotels, including 3, 4 and 5 star hotels and I this hotel is NOT a 4 star."
