Indra Regent Hotel

"We stayed for a night before heading home as we wanted to shop in the area and it's a great base if you want to shop before leaving Thailand as many markets and malls are in walking distance. Someone said the hotel made them feel like in the movie "The Shining" and we joked about it as well, but to be honest, the hotel has a lot of interesting history and seems to be one of the oldest ones in the area. Surprisingly we did enjoy our stay. Staff was very welcoming and friendly, the pool area is clean and can relax there, the Indian restaurant next to the reception has drinks as well which can be consumed at the pool area. Our room looked renovated, size was good and it was clean, everything was working as intended. Breakfast was okay, buffet for sure would be better, but it seems like not many guests are staying there and therefore wouldn't be feasible, it was good though. Even though the deposit was returned without problems, but the amount was a bit high compared to other hotels, maybe they had bad experiences with guests in the past, not sure. A suggestion would be to have some more lightning in the reception and entrance, to make it more lively and welcoming. But overall it was a good stay, nothing to complain!"

"We recently spent three nights at the Indra Regent Hotel and had a wonderful stay. The hotel has a charming antique look but is very well maintained. Our room (Lanna suite) was clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially Kitty, who was truly unforgettable, and Kate, who was exceptionally friendly and kind.\nThe hotel's location is ideal for shopping enthusiasts, with many of Bangkok’s popular malls within walking distance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly return."

"It was just a place to come and sleep and shower.\n1. Bathroom floor like a Swimming pool after use. Water not outlet No safety for senior persons. Can easily fall and trips.\n2. Feeling not safe on Entrance Lobby(Not light up enough)\n3. No Air ventilation on walk way/ 1st Lobby etc.\nThe hotel which used to be very lively and active has lost all its life and soul. Only two members of staff take care of mostly the reception, check in and check out process. Besides, it is like a totally abandoned place with just a few clients. Otherwise, the location was great, the room had very basic amenities."
