"Solid hotel for the price and location. Very quiet and off the road from noise. Rooms have aged a little but again for the price the hotel is an adequate choice. I slept well in the bed and the a/c worked well. 2 minute walk to Emquartier which has great dining downstairs. My bag was late to arrive to Bangkok and it arrived to the hotel at 11:00 pm. Desk staff informed me and were super helpful."

"Pros:very comfy ood bed & nice air con, quiet and good sleep, and freindly night staff at front counter. Cons: Shaby and run down stairwell and hallways, bathroom has mold in corners and is not in good shape-no elevator. Overall the photos do NOT represent the property fairly, nowhere near as nice. We decided to stay as we are never in the room, but almost walked out"

"We booked a superior deluxe room for our trip because we specifically wanted a bath tub. Upon arrival, however, we were put into a standard room (smaller, and without a bath). We had to go back to reception and insist we had paid double the usual price for the deluxe room.\n\nAfter much shuffling of paper, the staff had a conversation in front of us in Thai (without knowing we speak thai) where we heard that they hadn't expected to rent the deluxe rooms out for tonight, so they had upgraded someone else into our room. They then then pretended the AC was being fixed in our room and said we could have it later.\n\nAfter eventually getting the room we had paid for, i was looking forward to a bath. Living in chiang mai, we don't have one at home so, hence why we paid extra for this room. However, the bath leaked and and plug didn't fit, so it was impossible to fill the tub. We really couldn't use it at all . The water trickled out of the tap, then through the cracked plug hole and too-small-plug, then over the bathroom floor where the drain additionally seemed broken. The bath itself was also very stained and dirty.\n\nMeanwhile, next door, some hard-core drilling action was starting to get going. There's nothing that says 'happy new year' quite like a pneumatic drill to your wall...\n\nI toddled back to reception and explained again that we paid twice the price for the room BECAUSE WE WANTED A ROOM WITH A BATH. The lady said (with a tired face) that she would have someone fix it. We got back that night to be told it had indeed been fixed. The next morning, i excitedly tried again to fill the bath. It was exactly the same. Not fixed at all. So they lied to us. I enquired at reception again. They said they would fix it. They sent a man (who introduced himself as an engineer) to the room who took the plug away, looked at the crack, and said he'd come fix it in a few minutes. He never came back. I asked at reception again and the girl said they'd "tried to find a better plug and think about the drain" but the engineer could not find any way to fix it. End of story. I reminded her (one more time) that we paid over 3000b for a deluxe room JUST to get a bath tub, but she smiled sadly and said there was nothing she could do.\n\nEssentially, the management are thieves. How could they not have know the drain was broken? It did not seem that this was a fresh crack\n\nThe bathroom overall was dirty (see pics) and shabby looking. This is clearly a place that cuts corners. There were nasty white stains on the sofa\n\nAs breakfast was included we went down to be given instant coffee (nescafe, not even real coffee) watered down sweetened orange juice (cheap) and toast with cheap sweet jam. NO BUTTER! We had a choice of 3 styles of egg with meat and noodles, but were then told the noodles were not available. I asked if there was a vegetarian option and was told yes, they would make me something. They asked how i would like my eggs, so I ordered the scrambled eggs. What arrived was 2 fried eggs (with oddly over done yolks yet raw whites, which seemed to have been microwaved). After being given an initial plate of toast and jam, they provided 8 further slices of toast served with my (wrong) eggs.\n\nThe stairs are quite dirty too. This hotel was more expensive than Novotel etc for one night, and definitely not worth anything like it. Very poor effort from the staff, poor service and a shabby old place.\n\nDefinitely not a hotel with international standards. Very basic rooms and a horribly cheap breakfast, served by staff who don't listen to your order, and will willingly sell you broken rooms and products."
