"Extremely Disappointed – Avoid This Hotel\n\nOur experience at Catalonia Hispalis was deeply disappointing and frustrating from the very beginning. I was traveling with and helping lead a group of 30 people from Sona Tours, and we arrived at the hotel around 5 PM. We were shocked to find that the check-in process was completely unorganized. It took over half an hour to receive our room keys.\nUnfortunately, things only got worse once we entered our rooms. Several of the rooms, including ours, were in unacceptable condition — dirty bathrooms, peeling paint on the walls, and a general sense of poor maintenance. Most concerning, however, was the fact that the air conditioning was not working in multiple rooms. Ours was over 29°C (85°F) and incredibly uncomfortable. The issue was not resolved overnight, making it nearly impossible to sleep.\n\nWhen I raised these serious concerns with the general manager, Amjad Alfares during checkout, rather than acknowledging the issues or offering an apology, they repeatedly insisted that the hotel provided “impeccable service.” This denial of reality was not only unprofessional, it was insulting to every guest who endured that night.\n\nI strongly do not recommend staying at Catalonia Hispalis. Between the disorganization, poor room conditions, lack of basic amenities, and complete disregard for guest feedback, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. Lastly, it should be noted that area of hotel is unsafe to be walking around at night. All in all, it was an extremely horrible experience."
