The Madrid Edition

"It’s a nice hotel, but personally I would not stay here again. Maybe my expectations were too high, but there were a number of disappointing things. See below a range of opinions.\n- The room felt cheap to me and furnished without style. Particularly the bed head, cold large tiles and hairy thing on bed made me feel this way (admittedly, I should have seen this in the photos beforehand)\n- The pool itself is beautiful with a gorgeous view. However there are not enough beds in relation to the hotel size and it’s all very cramped: beds close to each other.\n- The slats of the rooftop floor are warped and stick out in places, looks unmaintained, across whole rooftop.\n- Water from the shower floor was leaking into the rest of the room.\n- Generally the staff was great: very friendly and helpful people.\n- Mixed experiences with concierge: They first booked us a restaurant that we did not like at all: we asked for a typical Spanish restaurant but got a place that mixed a lot of cuisines in terrible ways. Then we tried again and got a restaurant that fit our brief very well.\n- Very good and spacious gym with modern equipment.\n- The lobby might be the nicest room of the hotel with high ceilings and spacious seating (zero windows though)."

"I had an idyllic stay there.\nIt's a boutique hotel that pays real attention to its guests. I truly felt pampered and cared for by the staff, which is exceptional for a hotel at this price!\n\nOtherwise, I have nothing to complain about; the hotel is located in the heart of Madrid, but on the edge of the pedestrian zone, which is very convenient because it's close to all the tourist attractions. The design is original, the rooms quiet and very comfortable. I had a wonderful time by the pool, which is very pleasant and has a bit of a beach club feel with a wide range of food and drinks and a great atmosphere. The DJ knew how to play good music while remaining discreet so it wouldn't be distracting.\nThe breakfast is original and high-quality, and the cocktails at the lobby bar are delicious!\n\nI would definitely return the next time I'm in Madrid."

"Best hotel in Madrid, I will stay here every time I am fortunate enough to enjoy visiting this incredible city. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better, perfect walking distance to everything, and the experience even more perfect. From the restaurants, to the rooftop pool, to the clean luxurious rooms with comfortable beds, amazing showers with great water pressure, fabulous toiletries, great air conditioning (American style) this hotel is perfection. Modern and spacious, something there not easy to find in Europe. The best part however was the service! Every single lovely human I encountered was kind, helpful, and just honestly amazing. Shout out to Leo the best bar tender in Madrid! But seriously everyone was so accommodating and helpful, I had the perfect stay and can’t wait to come back. Don’t book anywhere else in Madrid, this gem is not to be missed."
