"My wife Maggie and I visited Madrid Spain between July 23/25 until July 31/25. Our daughter was in Spain two months earlier and highly recommended we go. What a fabulous time. The city was spectacular. Above all, I felt deeply compelled including my wife to leave a review in the hopes that upper management take the time to thank the staff that made our stay memorable. From Paco at the front desk in the morning and Anna in the evening to Anna and Danni that could not do enough in the morning working diligently at breakfast and to the lovely woman who cleaned our room on the fifth floor everyday I would recommend this hotel to everyone planning on visiting Mardrid. "This hotel is in a great location if you enjoy peace and quiet.\n\nFriendly staff, Metro at Plaza de España is close by. You will be near the Royal palace and be able to enjoy beautiful sunsets at the park overlook.\n\nLots of places to eat nearby and you will be a couple of minutes away from Gran Via where you can catch the 001 bus which is a free bus which can take you across town.\n\nWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beds were clean and comfortable. That is the best part of a hotel room after spending the day walking and sightseeing."

"I'll start with the bad.\nI don't know why all of the reviews say the beds are great, the beds are the cheapest coils kind, and if you remove the bed protector the coils carve into your bones. I had to sleep on another blanket to get a good night sleep.\n\nNext the ac is a central unit connected to the whole hotel and controlled by the front desk, if you change the fan speed or temperature in your room nothing really happens. I tried to talk with them to make it colder but it was the coldest they could make it and it was still hot in the room. They also don't have a fan which even cheaper hotels in the world have to give in these cases.\nI expect more from an almost 200 euro per night hotel.\n\nFood in breakfast was just ok, some of the items were pretty tasteless but most of the food in Spain is like that.\n\nThere's no kettle in the room nor free water bottles.\n\nThe bed is right in front of the door, which can be a direct source of noise from hallway, it didn't woke me up.\n\nIn the mornings around 10-11 the house keeping made a lot of noise upstairs of neighboring rooms so you can't really sleep till very late.\n\nHousekeeping moved my stuff to different places every day which is strange. For example on one of the days they placed my eye mask on the lower part of the bed drawer where on the next day they placed my flip flops there. That's not ok.\n\nThey also left the window open on one of the days which made the room very hot when I came.\n\nThe good.\nThere are carpets and door stoppers so noise from other guests is reduced.\n\nThe blinds can make the room totally dark.\n\nI was in an inner facing room and there was no street noise.\n\nThe neighborhood is very quite and there are close by transportation options."
