"A fantastic stay at Room Mate Oscar!\nThe hotel is spotless, stylish, and extremely well-managed. The breakfast is excellent – fresh, varied, and beautifully presented every morning. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Madrid, within walking distance to everything you’d want to see or do.\nWhat really makes the difference is the staff: everyone we encountered was exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our stay great. They consistently went the extra mile for us. The rooms were always clean and well-kept, and everything ran like clockwork. You can really feel that they care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Highly recommended!"

"Our favorite hotel in Madrid! Not only are the accommodations nice but so are the staff.\n\nWe were fortunate to get their suite and they tout a beautiful bath tub in the middle of the room. They have excellent views.\n\nTheir room service was also better than expected. They have a unique arrangement where it is served in a box and every item is packaged and prepared nicely.\n\nWe will be back!"

"Had an excellent stay this past week at the Roommate Oscar.\nPROS:\n- The location is perfect . It is located in Chueca, which is in the heart of Madrid . You are steps away from all the shopping and restaurants on Gran Vía as well as three Metro stops - two less than 5 min away on the same line, the third on a separate line about 8-10 min away. All of central Madrid is within walking distance - Puerta del Sol, Prado Museum, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor . Chueca itself is full of tasty and well priced restaurants , some considered the best in Madrid like Celso and Manolo 5 min away , and vibrant nightlife and you have dozens of choices around the hotel. The hotel windows are pretty solid and even though there’s nightlife close by you don’t hear it from your room\n- The rooms are well appointed and spacious and modern. The mattress is comfortable and the pillows are very good - they felt like down chamber pillows, I am a pillow snob and slept very well on them. My room was a Standard Room and had a separate W/C from the shower and sink . There is a flat screen TV with several channels and the AC worked very well in the hot Madrid afternoons . Lots of plugs for your smartphone and laptop or tablet too.\n- The service from the professional staff was five stars across the board from the front desk staff to the bartenders at the rooftop bar . They were friendly in an authentic way, they wanted to make sure I was happy and taken care of at all times. They will call you a taxi , give you advice on where to eat , and just generally make sure your needs are met during the stay the best they can .\n- The Rooftop Terrace and Bar !! It’s exclusively for hotel guests ( you can bring up a non-hotel guest if they are accompanied by you and they must leave their info with the front desk for security ) and it has an amazing view and very well made drinks . I enjoyed a cosmopolitan by the pool with a view of all of central Madrid.\n\nCONS:\nNone really ! Minor details for the hotel to make better :\n-The water pressure in the shower could have been a bit better. Both the shower and the sink had slow drains , the water never really stagnated but it did pool at your feet a bit while showering and feel they could improve this a bit\n- Lastly. controlling the fan speed on the AC was not intuitive , recommend the staff maybe explain this better at check in.\nAgain, very minor things that didn’t take away from my experience\n\nThe Roommate Oscar is an excellent choice if you are staying in central Madrid and is the best hotel for the money in Chueca ."
