"My favorite hostel so far! Very clean and I love the unique non-bunk format of the rooms with only three people in it. Makes it easier to organize and get to your stuff. The beds are also very comfy. Personally, I really care about how clean the bathrooms are and its layout and this hostel has by far the best bathroom situation I have seen in a hostel. A variety of separate bathrooms to chose from- some with just the toilet, some with just the shower, and a few with a full bathroom all to yourself with a hairdryer, making it easier to layout all your toiletries and change with ease. Staff are helpful and can help create a community where you find friends to go out with, since they promote so many activities."

"This is a great hostel. I booked because of the rooms not having bunk beds.\n\nWhen I arrived, I was greeted by Bruno, who went out of his way to explain everything to me and get me settled in for a lovely week.\n\nThe location is fantastic, right near Plaza Sol, connected to the metro and right in the centre of the city.\n\nThe showers were good for a hostel, I'm 6"1', and they were a little cramped for me but were warm and had good pressure. The toilets were nice and clean and the kitchen was very big and well maintained.\n\nThe best bit (although I didn't use it) was the Whatsapp chat, they offer lots of free things to do throughout the day lime walking tours and in the evenings there is free food and a social gathering for anyone that wants it. At night, they organise drinking games and bar crawls.\n\nIt didn't feel like a hostel. It felt like a community of friends.\n\nSpecial shout out to Brian, the night guy. He was so easy to talk to and friendly to all the guests.\n\nI can see why this is an award winning hostel!"

"I was initially excited to stay at this hostel given its great location in the center of Madrid — walkable to everything. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.\n\nI booked a private room for one, which came with two small twin beds. The shared facilities were a huge disappointment: only one shower, one sink, and two toilets for the entire floor. The toilets (which they bizarrely referred to as “vegan”) barely flushed, and the shower had almost no water pressure when set to hot. Often, these shared spaces were occupied, and there was a constant mildew smell throughout.\n\nAfter the first night, I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to cancel my second night. The staff on duty — who looked like he had just rolled out of bed and seemed sick — couldn’t have cared less and simply said, “too bad.” When I asked to speak to the manager, he was even ruder and asked why I was bothering him on a Saturday when he was off work.\n\nI checked out early and moved to a nearby hotel for about the same price, with far better service and amenities.
