"For our first time in Madrid, we found this hotel to be excellently located right in the heart of Madrid, within easy walking distance of most of our places of interest and some excellent restaurants, but if we needed the metro there was a station 2 minutes from the hotel.\nThe lobby gave off a very cool, hipster vibe, with a shared working space as soon as you enter the hotel, making it feel like a little community.\nStaff were very accommodating and friendly, willing to help us with a necessary late check-out, and our room was clean, modern, and always spotless when we got back.\nThe negatives: we got a standard double room, which fit our budget. Unfortunately, it was WAY too small. We come from Hong Kong and are used to small spaces, but this room did not have enough room to lay out two suitcases on the floor without tripping over them. The bathroom, while clean and modern and had a great shower, offered little privacy when going to the toilet; you have to be VERY comfortable with the person you are sharing that room with! There is no door handle, only a little hole which you can peer through. The sink is right next to the bed, and honestly it felt quite claustrophobic...especially as there was no view worth looking at and it was quite dark.\nThe hotel also uses a very strong smelling air freshener which hits you as soon as you enter; it reminded me of someone wearing too much aftershave!\nAs a solo traveller this room would have been fine, but with a partner I would consider other options unless you a) can afford more than a standard room and b) don't mind not being able to do more than turn around once inside!"

"Reception staff are genuinely helpful and friendly. They provide excellent local recommendations and are eager to assist. Excellent positioning near Plaza de España and Gran Vía.\n\nEven the largest room on our floor measured only 14.77m² (according to the evacuation plan), with the smallest being just 10.02m². These are genuinely cramped spaces that feel more like budget hostels than hotel rooms.\nNo traditional bathroom, shower and toilet are separated from the main room only by glass walls, offering virtually no privacy. This could be problematic for anyone not traveling as a couple. The sink is located in the main room area. The provided shampoo has an unpleasant, strong odor that permeates the entire room.\nPoor sound isolation is the deal-breaker. External street noise and internal sounds from other rooms/corridors seriously disrupt sleep."

"Had a room facing the street and it was a bit loud, but the amazing staff changed me the next day to a much quieter one. They’re very kind, even gave me free breakfast. Lovely place, nice beds, comfy pillows, good water temp and pressure. The best part is the location, right in the center of the city, walking distance to a lot of good places, restaurants and the Main Street is right next to this hotel."
