"The most important information for you: there is an open toilet in your room, no separated wall for it. You have shower in your room but toilet as well. Literally you sleep in your sh*t ;) you can hear everything... There is no separated light for a bathroom so at night you have to wake up your partner.\nThe second important thing: this is a very poorly soundproofed place,you can hear someone inserting the plug into the socket in the next room. Talking, snoring... The entrance to the building is noisy, especially due to the lack of a door handle on one side. It would be best to isolate them with an additional wall.\nIt is clearly visible that someone put a lot of effort into arranging the common areas but do you need them? Imo no, at an affordable price you can go for a beer & tapa at the bar down the street and clearly you didn't come to Madrid to stay at the hostel... I would say to the owner - hire a new interior designer and create functional rooms that allow for privacy, relaxation and, above all, silence, this is what you need in such a big city.\nApart from that the staff is very friendly, working hard, cleaning rooms, serving breakfast (very basic, not tasty coffee). The location is perfect.\nIf you can't afford anything better you won't regret being here.\nPersonally, I will never come back here, I had some blackout when I booked such a place and I didn't read advice of other people about bathrooms so I still regret it."

"Stayed here for 3 nights during our time in Madrid and will point out pros and cons:\n\nPros\n-excellent location (can arrive by metro, walking distance to Plaza Espana/many restaurants and sites)\n-comfy bed\n-fairly spacious room\n\nCons\n- loud! we heard so many people come in and out all hours of the night and could even hear people talking and listening to music in the next room ...thin walls\n- weird smell to the room\n- room was very dark\n- bathroom had a sliding door but space below and above door so no privacy at all. Fine for my husband and I, but something to consider as you can hear EVERYTHING\n\nTo be honest, I probably wouldn't stay here again despite the excellent location. The rooms were just a turnoff for us personally!"

"LaNave is a good choice for low budget accommodation in the centre of Madrid. The premises are in walking distance to every sightseeing that is worth visiting in the city. Metro and bus station is 5 minutes walking, pharmacy store and mini market almost outside of the hostel…yes, it is more of a hostel than a hotel, with private bathroom. The rooms are very small, with minimum sound proofing, but if your plan is for minimum stay in the room and maximum walking around, it is perfect.\nThe rooms are very clean, and renovated.\nWe stayed for 5 nights and we didn’t face any problem."
