"This is the WORST HOTEL EVER in my life. I could write a novel regarding why this is the worst experience but, I will limit my comments to the basics:\n1. Dirty reception and "lobby" area. Dirty rugs, old dirty couches, and sofas, all different, all dusty and nasty.\n2. Front desk personnel are the less welcoming I have experienced in all my life and, I am a seasoned traveler. Never saw a smile, never at least a simple “welcome”. We arrived an hour earlier so, without any pleasant welcome, she only said: you must wait until three. We waited. I used the smelly bathroom and wait. Five minutes before check-in time, I approached the front desk again only to find out that, on top of all the already chaotic situation, WE needed to do a self-checking online. And, I found out only because I asked! At a $209 per night (no breakfast included), I would have expected, not only a warmer welcome but also, a regular check-in process.\n3. Reception office with all black walls, disorganized and dirty as well.\n4. A pretending "eclectic style" which is CHAOS all over the place. This so-called hotel looks like if you have gathered pieces of furniture from flea markets, old family members and all sort of bargain stores. Nothing matches nothing. From tiger and lion images tapestries hanging in dusty walls, to visible electric cables wrapped together with cord, dusty hallways, dusty floors, a fetid lobby restroom, dusty plastic plants... I simply did not leave at once because they have already charged me the first night. The room was ok, clean and with a good aroma. Clean beds. However, taking a shower was the venture of a lifetime. Extremely bad designed, by opening the faucet you transformed the bathroom into a pool, since drainage was inefficient. I complained to the sour faced lady at the front desk who had the nerve to say to me that: “you should open the faucet and shower CAREFULLY, making sure you do not make any mess”…. WHAT???? So, on top of all the messy things around, I was responsible to avoid the unavoidable mess when showering due to the clumsy disastrous designed of that bathroom.\n5. We had to use towels to avoid slipping in the bathroom floor.\n6. We asked to store our luggage while we waited, and the lady took us to a closet already full. Her instruction was: “put the luggage on top of the rest, where you can”.\n7. Bricolage materials visible, other rooms being “remodeled” visible from a window facing a very dirty internal patio.\n8. The electrician in the hallway, working with electric cables hanging from a ladder\n9. There was 2 inches open space between the door of the room and the floor. We heard all conversations happening in the hallways, and above us (zero roof/wall isolation).\n10. Very expensive room rate for such a terrible, awful, bad designed and dirty hotel. An absolute scam! We only stayed one night, out last night in Madrid.\n11. I am almost sure all reviews in other platforms are fake since, nothing is as described.\n12. The elevator goes up to the third floor. Then you must take the stairs. The floors and stairs are uneven. This is not wheelchair accessible at all.\n13. Please do not come here, it’s a waste of money. This is extra expensive for the kind of service they provide and the terrible place they have done.\n14. It's clear they wanted to remodel this old building which has a lot of potential but, in the hands of a smart architect."

"Check-in was unnecessarily long and complicated. Instead of a regular front desk, it was handled in a small room with one who seemed overwhelmed\n\nThe entrance and stairs felt old and somewhat gloomy. The hotel tries to mix luxury with vintage, but it ends up feeling outdated and worn, elevator is not working in all floors we had to take our heavy luggage to our floor\n\nThe hotel was under renovation, which was not disclosed in advance, one of workers here opened our room's door to get in he didn't know that we are here, the room's door is by normal key not an access card and I already locked up the door but yet he can open it from out side\n\nNo trash can in the room"

"I searched quite a few Hostel close to center, and finally chose this. It’s a right decision.\n\nMany reviews said the room was smelly and noisy. But it was very clean and quiet for our case. Maybe I booked a private room for two people and they gave me the room on the 3rd floor.\nThe washroom was small but clean. Toilet is Roca. Cups are IKEA. Not bad. Shower water is strong.\nIt’s true I could hear other neighbors opened their door. But I could hardly hear any more sound.\n\nThe lobby is big and pretty. Only thing is reception is in a small room and we had to wait. If they can ask guests to register online, it would be faster.\n\nThe hotel has only one elevator, so far only to floor 2. Hope it will support other floors soon.\n\nOverall I feel it exceed my expectation as a hostel."
