Exe Zarzuela Park

"We stayed here for a night as a city escape.\n\nIt is quiet but when there are families with kids around, it is not relaxing to be there because of kids screaming and running around. Some guests do not have decorum while talking to each other so it can get loud from people talking.\n\nWe were very disappointed to find that the bar/restaurant was closed for renovations so we had to order in on Uber Eats/Glovo for food. This added to the stress because the idea was to escape the city for the day and we were in a hotel without food. We would have cancelled our stay had we known that the restaurant was closed.\n\nI requested for a romantic detailing of the room and it was disappointing, see pic, for 18€. Not a lot of thought goes into staging the detail for a nice surprise.\n\nThe TVs are very old and you cannot use apps like Netflix unless you have a firestick or chromecast.\n\nThe minibar fridge was not working. Drinks were hot. It’s summer now and it’s really helpful to have access to cold drinks/ working fridge.\n\nThe washing sink did not drain water 🤦🏿‍♂️\n\nThe location is great. There were couples escaping the city hustle and bustle and the hotel could be doing more to make lives easier and comfortable."

"Great room, great location for out of town affordability and peace but still a cheap and short (20m) taxi hop into central Madrid. The breakfast was really lovely and very well priced for what was on offer. Helpful staff. Great facilities."

"This hotel is pretty good, visited twice on business, pros are very quiet location, solid building so thick walls no noise & room size is good. If you book the rooms with balcony, actually you get a door to the ground floor terrace with outside chairs and table, well worth it. Breakfast buffet is very good, evening meal with pleasant garden view, one page menu but enough variety, caesar salad, chicken or pork or beef steak, also hamburger and pasta and more. Rooms have a fridge stocked with various drinks, no facility to make tea or coffee though, but have takeaway cups at breakfast and evening. The only negative is there is nothing nearby, about 2km walk to the nearest shop or restaurant. Easy to get to centre of Madrid, take the bus from stop right outside the hotel to Moncloa metro station, then metro line 3 just a few stops to Sol. This hotel is usually cheaper than others, but don't worry you will like it. WiFi is also good."
