"The setting was fantastic. The location is central but a little more quiet. A beautiful cafe was located on the historic Plaza outside. On the Sunday we were there, there was a market. The extremely beautiful food court Mercado San Miguel was the neighbor on the opposite side. Just around the corner was a well-equipped store with friendly staff (Dia). Sol and Grand Via can both be reached by foot. I adore Madrid and everyone in it.\nThe wifi connection was quite poor.\nThe hotel was listed at 148$ a night at the official site . but i managed to find a better price at Locktrip for 81$ a night, and get a discount on that with this discount code 5GZND enjoy."

"Pull out bed is spoiled, unable to pull out a bed for 1 person to sleep. The bed is from Ikea so I don't know if it's Ikea quality issue or poor maintenance by the hotel operater. Floor is not clean at all when they claim the apartment was cleaned up in the afternoon. Tried contacting the receptionist whom we were told operates 24/7 but there's no answer from their telephone number. Tried WhatsApp too, no reply. Poor service and maintenance, highly do not recommend this place. I have been travelling around Spain and have not encountered any issues. This hotel operater is bad."

"SmartRentals Puerta del sol is right in the middle of main center of Madrid, right next to Mercado de San Miguel and plaza Mayor. Regarding the rooms - bedroom, bathroom & kitchen are in excellent condition - we were 2 adults & 2 teens and it worked out great. Due to its location - we walked to all the main attractions - Puerta del sol, Gran via, El-retiro park, palace of cibeles, plaza Mayor, cathedral, Royal palace and temple of debod. Plenty of restaurants near by with wide ranging food options including veg, vegan, desserts & all kinds of tapas. Also there are few grocery stores near by to grab anything u need. Only downside - we had to collect the keys at the Gran Via location - which is a 10 min walk and the customer service contact via WhatsApp can be slow at times."
